FIXED! Looks like a clover conflict, i disconnected the other HDD and now it boots from SSD :)
i do want to access the other HDD though for storage, if i format it it should clear Clover i hope and then be fine....?

ok.... partial success....
ive got the system to boot perfect from a second install i just completed on 750gb WD Caviar HDD, boots into sierra fine
However the install i want is on an 128gbSSD, it installs fine and even boots from HDD but hangs on grey screen with beachball... so weird bc...

i have downloaded Sierra on this macbook but (weirdly) cannot install sierra as it says its 'installed' grey out box on update page... im fine with that tho as update may break some VSTs i run...
still, made working Sierra unibeast USB...

Ive recently been given an old desktop i want to hackintosh

unibeast runs, boots from usb, can run disk utilty to format etc ALL GOOD
but install fails, hangs at...

Can anyone tell me how i can use firewire with these boards?
I use an external FW audio-interface for DAW.... can i use a pci adapter or something?
Im currenly running a hackintosh core-2-duo and want to upgrade to something smaller...
I'm running in 32-bit mode - if i remove arch=386 from the plist, do i have to repair permissions? im getting stuck on grey apple screen with swirling/loading symbol after editing and rebooting.... :(
Try an app called Scroll Reverser.
I was using it on 10.6.8 cos i wanted to try the new 'backwards' mode....
when i up'd to Lion it was still installed and therefore making it act 'traditional'
Give it a download and it will reverse the scrolling
