    Asus X299 - Support

Sorry to ask again, anybody have any idea what this is? I can't find anything anywhere about this online or on the forum.

Long time everybody, things have been mostly good. Just curious about this kernel panic I keep having. I've noticed in the log that it keeps referencing the last unloaded kext being either "com.apple.filesystems.msdosfs" or "com.apple.driver.AppleActuatorDriver". I can now replicate the crash...

Tried that before, no luck. No dice now. May attempt deleting the Bluetooth.plist file. Thought it was the keyboard being weird, but it connects fine to my 2020 pre-M1 Macbook Pro on Catalina w/ no issues. So weird.

@djlild7hina You don't use a Keychron keyboard on your setup by chance do you? LOL ... I noticed something really interesting regarding a Bluetooth issue I'm having. Mojave won't see the keyboard at all, but Ubuntu did when I booted into it to do the 10GbE procedure. Any ideas? Bluetooth in...

@djlild7hina did you have the Sage 10G by chance? I want to do the 10GbE flash but those instructions from the kgp post but it looks insanely overwhelming (the Linux boot/ flash) (my local ISP is install fibre next week and I can get 1.5-1.8 gbit, plus I’m going all 10GbE throughout the house...

It doesn’t seem to. It was fine for the last year and then it just stopped booting off it last week. I thought the drive died at first so I had a small panic attack.

@djlild7hina I’ll give that a shot tonight. It’s really odd that it’s not booting from the EFI partition. Could the partition be damaged even though it shows up ok after mounting?

No no the NVME install itself is fine. Just the boot loader isn’t working for some reason. So I just plug in my backup (USB) drive and choose my NVME to boot to for now. This should be a relatively easy fix no? I tried deleting and re-copying my EFI folder from the USB to the EFI partition...

    Asus X299 - Support

Aaaaaaaand I solved it. In all the reconfiguration I was doing back when I was trying to solve my TB3 issues, I didn’t realize that after resetting the BIOS, I forgot to adjust my AVX offsets. I tried 3,2 and ended up settling at 2,1 Running Unigine Heaven & the latest Cinebench for 4 hours...

    Asus X299 - Support

Solved it. Virtual box was installed and was causing the KP! So that’s fixed. Now onto the next NEW issue (which isn’t really new apparently, I’ll explain) So my machine is running a Sapphire Vega64 Nitro+ and a 10980XE. For the most part it’s fine and is serving me quite well. I decided...

    Fenvi PCIE card & Keychron K2 V2

There seems to be only 2 devices listed there at the moment (my MX Master 2S & my Magic Trackpad 2) But in System Information under Bluetooth I see those 2 plus: My Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen) An old Apple TV I gave to my parents 2020 Macbook Pro 2017 Macbook Pro (which got replaced by the 2020 from...

    Fenvi PCIE card & Keychron K2 V2

Yeah that didn’t help. I did notice in system information -> Bluetooth, there’s a ton of items in there (seems to be a lot of Bluetooth enabled devices in the general area where my machine is- including my nvidia shield for some odd reason- I never connected that, nor have I saw a need to want...
