I assume you use Clover.
On the boot screen select the Clover options and in Startup add a “-X” without the quotes but spaced after whatever startup option is there.
It’ll vanish next boot but the current boot will take it. It should try to boot then with a devault screen setting, I believe...
On the Hackintosh it was connected from 650Ti DVI out to HDMI cable. Artifacts.
Connected to Dell Lattitude. DP cable both ends. Artifacts. Same type.
Conclusion... monitor issue.
I was lucky to score a HP Z27n with 2560x1440 resolution on Amazon.de.
A warehouse deal with minor scratches on back and bottom, plus on Prime Day another 20% off... score!
Then after installation there was some weird artifacts in the display. Specially in blue bars or background I would notice...
After years of service on Mountain Lion 10.9, decided at some point to start upgrading the OS. I had previously dabbled with a HP ProBook 4530S and gotten that to work but with the early days of Clover it was not getting easier to comprehend or do.
thanks to TonyMac and crew, they've created a...
I’m still running this rig almost the same as I built it. A few changes to it though;
1. Running a Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD on it as prime.
2. A Seagate ST2000 with 2TB for data
3. A new case. A bit smaller by 1 5.25” bay, which I miss. The original case had a soft touch surface which was...
Just thought that I report this machine is still as described but recently I moved to macOS High Sierra.
Had issues downloading the complete 5GB file from Apple but managed in the end.
Created USB stick etc, fiddled a bit with the BIOS to get it to boot the stick at first, then installed 13.6...
Hi
Well if your CPU needs 85W and your power suplly puts out 120W... you’re cutting it close. If you have an SSD on it only, it might work....
Indeed my CPU IS JUST 65W and I got about 150W from the power supply so I run hdd.
Not sure where you are based but in my originalpost I said I was...
Check out the support.hp.com website and put in the Probook 4530s as tag. There is a recall for the batteries of some models. Maybe you are lucky and yours needs replacement and then you get a free one. Mine was not in range but... YMMV
Installed via App Store on the HP Probook 4530s. Zero issues, sound kept working, sleep works. All good. I don't run it with a SSD yet, so didn't have to do TRIM patch again or anything. Flawless. I guess thank you Clover!
If AE and Premiere etc. use your graphics card then you may want to look into upgrading that first, and your ram.
Per core you should have at least 2GB of memory. Un your case with dual quad core xeons I would say 16Gb is a minimum.
There is at least one site mentioned here on the board that...
@Rehabman:
"Make sure you select the right config file"
Yes I did. But 1600x900 != 1920x1080!
I got there in the end, no worries but the green screen sucked big.. I got it all up and running I think, will revisit post #1 to see if I missed something but for now I am good. I had not seen...
I have the HP Probook 4530s, core i3-2320 CPU (So the Sandy Bridge one).
I have searched the thread with the search thread tool but seems this one has not passed by here.
I converted my screen to a full HD screen ... I get a green screen and can only see about half of the screen on the...
I use this rig as my main rig, and do plenty of work on it from Lightroom to Photoshop to iMovie etc. etc. I decided to 'upgrade' a few things from the original constellation...
1. HD4000 was 'replaced' by MSI Geforce 650Ti OC which is now once more replaced by a MSI Nvidia GTX660.
2. BIOS...
I would try
nvda_drv=0 nv_disable=1
At boot time and see what that brings. Hook your monitor up to the onboard dvi, bios set to 1st gfx card = igpu or similar, and mem allocated to the gpu to 64mb
You basically wNt to bring back the machine to bare basics and see what that gives.
So...
