I think what is important is to follow religiously the steps from the guides, and if you search you can find a lot of the answers you are looking for...
Anyway I still consider building a hackintosh time consuming, I normally need at least 1-2 days to get it working, even using guides...
But...
Disconnected a hard drive and now I'm at the installer, with a unibeast install... will report more
OK, I think it is finally working! What helped me was disconnecting all hard drives except one. Reaching the installer was much faster than before (even until the point where I normally got stuck).
First I was using v2.3 r3761, last install was with v2.4 r4097. (Is it a problem installing Clover files several times on the same bootable usb stick?).
Tried again the unibeast install with your config.plist and kexts...stuck at the same place!
Unfortunately, no success.
First try: with your plist and the options from Clover for emulation of native NVRAM support, and kexts from here.

Second try: same as above, unchecked InjectEDID and checked option inject kexts. Same result...
I tried all the attached config.plist files (out of desperation...), the third one is from the Z170 UD3 guide. I always get stuck at the same place.
Thanks
Thanks for the tip, but did you try it?
I have tried it, with no success. I did uncheck Inject Intel in Clover boot menu under Options/Graphics Injector/Inject Intel, but I can´t reach the installer screen... :(
Any ideas?
FYI: Tried a clean install with 10.12.5 and HD530 - no luck. Stuck at gIOScreenLockState 3
Tried unibeast, clover +the files from the Z170-UD3 thread, several ideas from this forum and it always stops at gIOScreenlockstate.
So I think HD530 does not work currently with the latest Sierra...
I think the VRAM is too low, I think mine says something around 1500MB... May be its not correctly installed unless you get the artifact
PS: I used multibeast to get it installed correctly
No, I´m using the HD 530... I´m getting used to the artifact in the upper left corner. I think the best alternative would really be the GTX 750Ti, powerful and consumes not that much energy (60W :) )
Ok, so after a bit of research I found out that the GTX 750Ti is much better than the GT 740... But it costs around 120eur... There seem to be no good options below this model...
Intel HD 530 isn´t working 100% in Sierra (known issue...).
What is the most compatible cheap graphics card that works with Sierra? I´m thinking under 100$ / eur...
The Buyers Guide list starts with the EVGA GT 740 SC, but I was wondering if there is something cheaper...
Any ideas?
Thanks
It doesn´t seem to be working, at least for me. Anyway, I installed back the old hardware (Core 2 Quad) + Mountain Lion and generated the files there. With these files I reached at least the Desktop on Sierra, but without audio.
I still need to use audio_cloverALC-120.command, even if I´m not...
I´m manually editing (with TextEdit) the config.plist to include the KextsToPatch section for Intel HD 530, but I´m unsure if I´m doing things right. Could someone please confirm or correct my result?
