The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

@Leesureone @trs96 Thanks for all the great info! I really haven't been following hack news for a while since things have been stable for me. I'll definitely look into the T3U and Chris1111's method.

The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Updated to Sonoma and things seem stable so far except for one thing: apparently Sonoma dropped Broadcom wifi support? I'm running the Dell DW1830 BCM943602BAED Broadcom m.2 card and I don't have the option to even turn on wifi. Bluetooth is working however. Guess I'll have to dig around and see...

The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Is anyone having issues updating to 12.4 with this build (or similar)? My hack is completely stable on 12.3, OC 0.8, updated kexts. But when I try to update to 12.4, I get a kernel panic with this: "FIPS Kernel POST Failed (-2074)|" @corecrypto_kext.c:193 No other errors. Someone suggested a...

The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

That may be, but this has already being more of a pain that it really needs to be, and I have really no interest in redoing a system again when it boots completely fine short of one feature.

Ok Opencore experts, I need some help here. converted to OC when I couldn't get clover to be stable in Big Sur. Basically used ModMike's EFI folder with no changes other than serial and everything boots fine now. Updated the OC files to 0.6.3, but I have two issues. 1) My audio ports are not...

The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

@ModMike, I just want to thank you for having this build documented so well. I'm still on Cover, and using their new Clover app, I updated to v5124 without any indication that they incorporated the quirks section of the OpenCore config into their config. And, if you didn't know that, and your...

    AMD Radeon Navi GPU

Well, I had random flashes of horizontal bands on my screen from time to time, and this patch may have fixed that, but it didn't fix crashing under load, especially Metal stuff. Warcraft still crashes randomly. I have found that *sometimes* I can get the computer to un-freeze by forcing some...

Screen goes black for 2 seconds

I'm actually relieved to find this thread, as it means I'm not going crazy. I built my current hack late last year (9700, 5700 xt) and I've been having random horizontal glitches go through my screen and the occasional black out. I tried various DP cables to make sure it wasn't a cable issue...

Apple A1181 Macbook Bluetooth under Windows 7 x64

Thanks for the knowledge. After tracking down Bootcamp 4, I finally got my bluetooth module to be recognized by Win7. As a bonus tip for anybody else that stumbles across this, remove your bluetooth devices from OSX before trying to add them to Windows. I couldn't get anything to connect at all...

Apple A1181 Macbook Bluetooth under Windows 7 x64

That could be it! I had no idea they changed support in the newer bootcamp installs. Where's the best place to find the old bootcamp installers/files?

Apple A1181 Macbook Bluetooth under Windows 7 x64

Sorry to necro this, but since no resolution was posted to this thread, and I can't find another thread with the same problem this seems easier. I'm in the same situation the OP is/was. My hack has an Apple A1181 bluetooth module wired up to an internal USB header. Under OSX it works great...

NVIDIA Releases Mountain Lion 10.8.3 Graphics Drivers

After installing on my hack with a 670 gtx, I had the strangest problem that I haven't seen mentioned here. On reboot, my NTFS internal shared drive (using TuxeraNTFS) refused to mount and I could not connect to my network shared drive. Tried a bunch of solutions, and nothing would work...

    Dell U2713HM USB 3.0

The USB 3 drive I was trying to use is bus powered, so that's a possibility. I would have thought that the monitor would fully power the usb3 ports, but I could be wrong. I'll have to look into this tonight when I get home. I think the only usb3 devices I have are bus-powered 500gb hard drives...
