I just picked up the XPS 13 with the 10710u i7 processor. I was reading a laptop compatibility thread that said there was an aptio memory issue that still needs to be worked out for the Ice Lake and Comet i7 processors. i5 is fine, however. I'm assuming we can follow other guides from the coffee...
Today I updated my High Sierra installation to the latest 10.13.6 and now this script doesn't work. Nvidia logo in the task bar shows that I'm using Nvidia drivers but I have zero acceleration and only 7mb graphics memory shown in "about this mac".. Any thoughts?
So I was able to get past the copyright line.. but after loading intel NIC, the computer hangs for a minute, I can see “still waiting for root device” at the bottom, but there’s garbled text and a circle with slash in it showing on my screen. Obviously it can’t communicate with the USB drive at...
Installing on a Dell Precision T3620 Xeon e3-1225 v5 (c236)
Used Unibeast to create installer. Had a weird issue where "debug" mode was enabled on clover so clover boot was extremely slow. Disabled that but the results are the same whether clover "debug" option is on or off.
All virtualization...
Updated via App Store and update went smooth. Went to boot and loading bar got stuck/froze. I forgot to update Clover before updating to newest MacOS security update. I am able to boot into MacOS if I disable Nvidia graphics and boot with safe mode, but I can't mount the EFI partition or install...
I don't think I see my HD graphics in system report either but I'll have to check. MacX Video Converter will let you know if quicksync is working correctly and it sounds like it is. Use the nvidia-update script I posted above to install .104.. It does all the patching for you.
Try installing 104 and see what happens. Also try going to this site and seeing if things are smooth:

I know the Pascal cards (especially non-reference models) have driver issues.
Also, what version of MacOS are you running?
Are you overclocked at all? If so, you may need to feed more voltage to the CPU. I had issues like this on my 4690K where it would work great until I tried rendering video in FCPX or had heavy network traffic. Added a little bit of voltage to stabilize the CPU under load.
Boot from a fresh Unibeast installer USB.. once you're in to your desktop, update your Clover version on your SSD/HDD drive. Also make sure all your kexts are in the "Other" folder and delete the rest of the 10.x folders
My guess is that your Clover version is heavily outdated.
What flags are you booting with? You will want to boot with internal graphics at first and use nv_disable=1
After booting, download and install the nvidia web drivers and remove the nv_disable=1 flag before rebooting.
