    Immediate startup after shutdown

Hi guys, everything seems to go well, but after I shut down my hackintosh, the machine starts up back again. Did anyone experience this as well? First impression would be that it could be some hardware issue (cable etc.) but when I had windows 8 installed, it never happened. my HW: GA Q77M D2H...

    neilhart's Mac Pro Hack

Thanks for the reply Neil. What I know, those apple (delta) fans are quite loud - around 33 dba and 2900 rpm. I am going to use the i5 3570k cpu with this cooler: http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?productid=186 So probably I will replace them with Noctuas and as they are PWM, motherboard will...

    neilhart's Mac Pro Hack

hi Neil, very nice mod adding that glass to it. I wrote a separate thread exactly about that wind tunnel. How much rpm does your fans have? I am inclined also to replace those apple fans (deltas about 2900rpm) with Noctuas PWM 1300 rpm but I am not sure if they will be strong enough to push air...

Noctuas strong enough to push air through the wind tunnel?

Hi guys, I am modding the 2009/2010 Mac Pro case. I have noticed that the fans of the lower wind tunnel where the processor and ram is could be changed without any problem. The thing is, I have mounted Noctua NF p12 PWM 120mm there...

    Basic build - Pentium compatibility

Thanks for the quick response. :) Well I have already bought the motherboard. I bought it because of the tonymac buying tip. As I just like to update/have fun with electronics, I will buy basic components now so that I can continually update. Also plan to add watercooling in the future. Its for...

    Basic build - Pentium compatibility

Hi guys, I am finally going to put my build into an amended Mac Pro case. Do you think this will work? I browsed the threads, some mentioned this CPU, but I also saw some issues/problems with it. MB: Gigabyte GA-Q77M-D2H CPU: Intel Pentium G2020 (plan to buy i7 in the future) RAM: Corsair 2+2GB...

My basic build into Mac Pro case

Hi gyus, finally I have finished my Mac Pro case to fit the atx parts there. I am going to build a very basic build and going to update the parts later as funds will be available later. Do you think this will work? With minimal hacks and modifications to the hardware (especially the CPU)? thank...

    neilhart's Mac Pro Hack

guys one question if I may, is the original apple power supply (mostly 980W) even applicable to the pc components? Is it even worth it? Its quiet expensive on ebay and other e-shops 250-350 dollars :-/
