Hello there TonyMacx86 Forums! My name is Nic and I am new to the forums.

I am currently trying to get my HP Envy DV7 Laptop to dual boot Mac OS X Mavericks along side Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Specs:

- Intel i7 quad core processor
- NVIDIA GT 630m
- 1tb hard drive
- On board intel graphics
- Running Windows 7 Ultimate

I successfully made a bootable Mavericks USB using this tutorial here:

UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC

However, when I boot to my USB and then choose the Mavericks option it hangs up on the apple logo.

This is what I see when I boot to my USB using UniBeast:

It sits here forever (I have waited about half an hour with no change).

Things I have tried:

- I have tried
Code:
PCIRootUID=1
, it still hangs on the apple logo.
- I tried
Code:
GraphicsEnabler=Yes
, it threw an error about modifying my nvidia card.

Does anybody know what is happening?

If you need any specs lists or any BIOS options let me know and I will post the relevant material...

Here is what happens when I load using the command
Code:
-v

And here is the boot loader:

Yosemite is just the name of the USB so ignore it. It is actually a bootable USB of OS X Mavericks.

Do you have just nvidia or both nvidia and Intel graphics (optimus)? Post output from 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal if you're not sure.

Also, you're getting Local APIC panic, which is common on HP consume laptops (and others). Use cpus=1 as a workaround until you can install the KernelPatcher module from Chameleon.

Also... you profile...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

I have an NVIDIA graphics card and Intel HD Graphics. Like so:

And here are my results from CPUZ:

Thank you for your fast reply :)
I will await your response, appreciate it.

Please add your specs to your profile as requested in post #2.

Done. They have been added to my profile.

I don't see screen resolution anywhere. And I just added my Graphics card and Chipset in the build signature section.

Edit: Added my screen resolution and chip set (HM77) and (1920x1080)

Here is my result from running the command
Code:
cpus=1

It got past the apple logo, and had a loading circle this time. However after getting past the apple logo I got a odd looking gray/multi-color screen that made it look like my graphics card was spazzing.

Any ideas?

Try:
IGPlatformID=01660004 cpus=1 dart=0 nv_disable=1 -v

If it doesn't work, provide quality photo of entire screen where it stops.

After running your command it's beginning to look a lot better. Here's my result:

I wasn't sure what to do at this point. It wouldn't let me continue the installation process.
