Hi everyone,

This is my first thread but I've been around for a while now, so I'd like to thank everyone for the help I found here during the past years!

I installed Mavericks recently, updated to 10.9.2, got sound and network working after patched kernels, Multibeast help and more. I couldn't find a way to get the intel HD4600 graphics though (showed 3MB VRAM) so I tried a lot of things...
Finally, installing Chimera 2.2.1 made it work with full resolution and everything.

Then I tried to update with the Security Update 2014-002 : Big mistake, I lost my patched kernel....

So, I started all over again, updated to 10.9.2, got network and sound working, installed Chimera 2.2.1 but now I only boot with a black screen, no video signal!

I don't understand because I followed the same steps!

I tried every boot flags I could find, tried with older (10.9.0) Azul kexts, but no success. (Couldn't find the 10.9.1 one)

I don't know what else to try, maybe someone can help me?

Thanks,

Sorry, I knew I forgot something!

Intel Core i3-4330 (3.5 GHz) (HD4600 graphics)
Motherboard ASRock H81M-ITX

I use the HDMI port.

Here is the list of what I tried so far:

GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No
IGPEnabler=Yes/No
IGPlateformID=(everything listed here for HD4600 : http://www.tonymacx86.com/378-new-intel-hd-graphics-boot-flags-chimera.html) Only 04160002 allow me to boot but without any loaded kext for Intel HD4600

IntelAzulFB=1-15 (Before I realized it didn't work with Chimera)

And toleda's patch "graphics_intel_hd5k-azul-d-90_patch.command" for my Azul kexts which is supposed to patch every port for HDMI/DVI (I don't need DP) https://github.com/toleda/graphics_Intel_framebuffers

I have the standard Chimera 2.2.1 boot plist.

Thanks, I will try this tonight, I'll let you know!
It's true I might have changed some settings in my BIOS.

Actually I plan to follow Dremeljunkie's guide to use the iMac G4 screen as DVI, I hope I won't mess with all its wires. :)
But first I'll see if I can try with a genuine DVI cord.

Hi again,

Unfortunately, I tried changing my BIOS, Mac Mini system definitions, multiple IGPlatformIDs, I still can boot with 04160002 with poor graphics or boot with no HDMI signal...
I can't find anything different I might have done since the last working install...

Do you know where I can find the Azul kext from 10.9.1 ?

Thanks for your help!

Edit : With 10.9.0 Azul kext, using -v doesn't boot, stuck on "Missing bluetooth controller transport" : the issue I resolved by installing Chimera over Chameleon the first time. But now I already have Chimera and I'm not even sure I was on 10.9.0 Azul kext the first time. Anyway, maybe this info can help?

Wow, thank you very much!

I'm trying the DSDT and SSDT with original 10.9.2 kexts, but I will have to go to work then so If it doesn't work I'll try patching my BIOS tonight.

I'll let you know, thanks again!

PS: If it doesn't work, I'll try all over again and maybe stay on 10.9.0 :)

I just found something else! :) DSDT and SSDT :D

I reinstalled the 10.9.2 kexts, the last version of Chameleon, used Chameleon Wizard to add "DropSSDT" and DSDT, and I put both files in /Extra.

Now it boots way faster, without the "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport" issue, but still Intel Graphics HD4600 3MB. Apparently I don't need to choose IGPlatformID=04160002 anymore, so I tried with IntelAzulID=10 (since it was Chameleon), and same problem : Black screen with no signal.

I'll try again with Chimera 2.2.1 tonight and if it still doesn't work I'll patch my BIOS.

I've never used DSDT/SSDT before, I hope I didn't miss anything.

Hi again,

I tried everything but without success...
I don't know what else to do, I'm thinking starting all over again but I don't even know if it will work :/

If anyone read this thread and have a solution, I would be grateful!

Anyway, thanks for the help you provided!

I'm so sorry to hear that it isn't working. I don't know what to do. Maybe you could sell your mobo and get a gigabyte one? I'm sorry but that's all I can think of.

There are other things to consider here.

Asrock boards work well with pmpatch, so it should work that way, but, if it worked with OSX already then in theory it should already be patched ?

The DSDT posted earlier; you should check to see if this was compiled against the same version bios as the one you are using. Mixing and matching is not a good idea.

Does the USB installer show any output at all when you boot from it ?

Dont give up just yet! My experience of Asrock has been very positive so far.
