Hi RehabMan,

I have followed your guide step by step and and finally got Yosemite installed on my Acer Aspire v5-473. Thank you for this detailed guide. however, I'm struggling to get the brightness work. I have extracted the DSDT using MaciASL and patched it with your ACPIbacklight patch and placed it in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI but it didn't
work.

I really appreciate your kind help to have a look at my attached DSDT.aml as I'm not sure whats the patch order that i have to follow in order to get the brightness work.

i Clicked on installer osx and now i see ablack screen with apple logo installing,i dient get yet to the step where i use disk utility to do the partition

What do you mean by "Clicked"? My config.plist files do not enable mouse support in the bootloader.

Check that you copied the correct config.plist.

System: MSI GE60-2PC + bootloader Clover
CPU: i5-4200H
Graphics: HD4600 + GTX850M 2G DDR5, 1920x1080
Ram: 8G

I stucking boot loading logo Apple, i try install 10.10

ive booted the usb according to the description above and the loading bar is still stuck on halfway :( here is the verbose output.

Did you copy GenericUSBXHCI?

Added the relevant file. Still get stuck at the same spot:

Just wanting to make sure I'm doing this correctly. But to update kext files, you just copy the extracted kext file to the relevant directory right? You don't need to use terminal or anything?
