I assume you meant ALC898 - have you checked your System Properties>Sound settings and confirmed that the output device is set correctly (Internal Speakers)?

Hold power button on keyboard til it powers fully off. Then hold it again to turn it on and go into "pairing mode"

I'm trying to get my iMessage working with little success. I followed the instructions pretty well and I input the figures from iMessage_debug as instructed. I keep getting that I could not sign in and An error occurred during activation.

The only area I can think that something is wrong is that iMessage_debug gives me a figure for ROM (there is one space in the number - is that right) and when I go to RtVariable and calculate I agree with all of the figures but it gives me a completely different ROM below in the calculated figures. I would believe that these should be identical. I used that number with no success also.

If I boot with the USB (same config.plist) it gives me close to the number but with no space that iMessage_debug gave me.

Any ideas?

Once again everyone here has been great!!

I've used this guide to change 3 machines over from Chimera to Clover successfully. All have consistent iMessageDebug information between reboots and working iMessage, Facetime, etc.

However the one I'm working on now (Gigabyte ga-h67n-usb3-b3 ) is being a problem. Everything is working (video, usb, etc) but not matter what I do in config.plist (RT Variables, and SMBIOS) I can't get a ROM value to be applied at boot. iMessageDebug displays:

ROM: 00000000000000000000000000

I tried setting it through RT Variables ROM initially, then read about changes in Clover (Oct 2014):

"ROM: This will now be read from the last 6 bytes of the 'SmUUID' field."

But I have that set as well and see that getting picked up via iMessageDebug.

Has anyone else seen this? Do I need to patch my bios as I've seen a few mention? Could something in my DSDT be supplying this?

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

I just finished the process yesterday.
when I followed the guide using Clover Configurator, I entered the info from the iMessage.debug output that I ran from my Hackintosh Mavericks Multibeast install. I did not enter a serial number using Chameleon. After using Clover Configurator in my Yosemite install, I rebooted and got the message to call Apple with the code. When I called they asked me for my serial number. I gave them the serial number from my real iMac. They cleared the code and iMessage and FaceTime worked.
Any questions, let me know.

Can anyone give me some assistance?

Ok, so I'm going to trying to complete a similar operation to get my iMessages working and I haven't been able to continue due to the problem with my initial boot from the installer getting stuck on "PCI Configuration" any ideas? Also, once I get the install working with maybe the standard .plist Im very confused as to how to inject the iMessage fix plist after I get my install all running.

I am running the 4930k i7 so no integrated graphics, and I have the GTX780 installed on my ASUS Sabertooth x79

If i can get past the PCI Configuration stop, I wont have to use the multibeast unibeast method I dont believe anyways. Im completely stuck so please help guys. Thank you!
