Lenovo Y50 Laptop DSDT

Hello all, I have a Y50 like you but I have really hard to install 10.9.4/5 on my laptop. :banghead: Pleas can you give me the instruction. My big problem is the power management and the dsdt. So can you give me your dsdt and your kext pleas.

But if we have exactly the same laptop is not a problem. And it's more easy for me because I am really bad. Tanks for you article but I don't understand all sorry.

Not true. Even slight changes in configuration can have an effect on the native DSDT.
 
Yes i know but here we have exactly the same laptop. The lenovo Y50-70 is always the same. I have the same cpu, same GC, same ram and same motherboard. So It's exactly the same (and the same screen) :headbang:

It can also change depending on BIOS version, and even specific BIOS options.

If you don't use your own DSDT as a base for patching, you do so at your own peril. Have fun with that...
 
it's simple .. we have only 1 bios version now .. (1.13)

You can do what you want... but if you run into weird problems, don't ask me about it...

At a minimum, you should compare native DSDT from one machine to the other to make sure they are exactly the same.

This is my first laptop build i have a Lenovo y5070

CPU i7
RAM 16 GB
GPU Geforce 860m 4gb + Intel HD 4600
Audio Realtek ALC 283
Lan Realtek (dunno the model)
WiFi: Atheros AR956x

same problem here have to boot with -x and when i install the 10.9.4 Combo Update instant restart.
I haven't patch my mach_kernal and power management yet (just found out about them) and haven't compiled any DSDT (never needed it before). will try the linux thing but seeing as i'm kinda new to all this patching and DSDT thing could you be so kind and like share a little guide for me and the guys here.
