Using Unibeast to create a Clover Installer:

You misread the problem - I never get to the screen to do setup the first reboot after the install. I boot clover, run the install, it reboots after installing, then KP - never get the setup screens for the first time or get to see the desktop. This is the problem. I had thought the clover boot installer would work the same as UniBeast to load the necessary items to get past the first reboot after install, but evidently not.

Safe mode is even worse.
I apparently did misread the problem... If I understand, you boot your clover installer, choose Install OS X (with kexts) and it performs the install, (at this point we know that clover will boot your hardware). On the first reboot (to clover usb) you choose the hd you installed to (again with kexts) and the machine KP's. Is this correct?

Nope clover doesn't install anything, it's just a bootloader, it installs nothing at all. Every boot in the install process needs to boot to the clover usb so the your kexts get loaded. Once the install is complete you load you kexts to S/L/E with whatever tool you use. At point you install clover to the HD...

Didn't mean install anything to HDD, just that it loads things like the network kext and FakeSMC to allow the HDD install to boot the first time so you can install everything you need at the first desktop. It is that first important boot to the setup that I am having trouble with. As an experiment, I reset the BIOS to allow boot from legacy and booted the HD install with UniBeast. It went right to the setup pages and I was able to connect to the cloud, skip registration, etc. and create a user and get to desktop, so I know the install was successful.
What is so :banghead: is that Clover boots the install app but won't boot the HDD afterwards and I get these AppleIntelFrameBufferCapri loading errors. Is there something I need to add to the config.plist and maybe inject the HD4000 on the Clover boot?

You could try to inject HD4000 in the Graphics section:

PHP:
    <key>Graphics</key>
    <dict>
        <key>Inject</key>
        <true/>
        <key>Intel</key>
        <true/>
        <key>LoadVBios</key>
        <false/>
        <key>PatchVBios</key>
        <false/>
    </dict>

I remember having a similar problem with a ASRock board months ago, never got it to work...

This worked great, Great work.

I have one question...
Now Is there a way to bypass Clover on boot up vs having to select your OS X HDD via Clover every time you restart your computer? (Do i need to follow Tonymac's guide on booting with EFI partition now?)

Thanks for all the work you put in this.

*EDIT - I only us OS X as my operating system (No Dual Boot for me)

Never mind everyone, i figured it out... (I Know use the SEARCH Button...)

You need to down load Clover Config can be found in this post:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/alternate...-user-clover-plz-read-configuring-clover.html

Once you open Clover Config goto Boot Tab (On Top) and change boot time from 5sec to 0secs.

Anyway if anyone is thinking about just booting to OS X Mavericks like me, OMG its Fast... (LITERALLY just seconds, I made my wife see it as i couldn't believe it... HAHA)

Im going to post my new build with ASUS Maximus VI Hero soon for others as i would recommend at this point.

Thanks

Success with GA Z77X-UP4 TH board, Radeon HD 6850 GPU

Just wanted to share that this method worked perfectly on my Hackintosh, which has a GA Z77X-UP4 TH board and a GA Radeon HD 6850 GPU. Just followed the guide and voila, GPU, sound, and networking all work. I don't think USB 3 is working, and I haven't tested sleep, but everything else seems to be working well. I'll report back if I make any progress or learn any lessons.

To get USB 3 working would that be a DSDT thing? I didn't create a DSDT or edit the default config.plist that Clover installs.

What about TRIM? Should that be the same fix that Multibeast fixes with it's TRIM patch?

Thanks for the guide.

Noob question...

"We need to add a few kexts to get our installer running. Navigate to EFI/Clover/kexts and copy FakeSMC and your ethernet kexts to the 10.9 folder."

1. I assume I take the FakeSMC from the D54250WYB.zip in /kexts/10.9 folder. Please verify!!!
2. Where do I find the ethernet kexts? I am not using wifi just built-in wired ethernet. Is it necessary?

Thanks and sorry for the noob question, I am still trying to understand all this stuff.

I am continuing with the AppleIntelE1000e and FakeSMC kext in the 10.9 folder.
It also appears that the USB partition must be Mac OS Extended (Journaled) rather than Fat32 partition.

Now I am stuck at this point. I boot to
UEFI:USB and it takes me to the screen with the USB and the a previous attempt MAC OS install as my boot options. This next step confuses me since when I press the space bar the "With Kexts" is not an option.

"Use arrow keys the highlight OSX Installer, press space bar and choose "With Kexts", press enter to start installation."

Please help!

Using Unibeast to create a Clover Installer: NUC troubles ?

Hi,

I'm trying to install Mavericks 10.9.3 on a NUC, using UEFI:Clover,
side by side with 2 Unibeast installs, and I got troubles.

My build first :
Intel Haswell NUC D54250WYKH i5 4250U HD 5000

Intel Visual BIOS version 0025
SSD : Crucial mSATA m500 120GB

HDD : WD SATA III 750GB 2.5"
RAM : 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR3L
Screen : Iiyama Prolite 1920x1200 connected thru MiniDisplay port
OS : 10.9.3

I have one partition on the SSD, PartA, with Unibeast and 10.9.2. Works fine.
I have 2 GUID partitions on the HDD :
-PartC with UEFI Clover + 10.9.3
-PartB with Unibeast + 10.9.3. Works fine.

I'm able to run on PartC (Clover) only if I boot thru the USB installer drive.

Otherwise, if I unplug this USB drive at boot time, the Intel BIOS does not find any UEFI bootable partition, meaning PartC is just going undetected.

I can boot straight thru Chimera on PartA or PartB, but not on PartC (spinning on the Apple logo).

I carefully checked that the HFSPlus.efi was installed on PartC.

The partitions were installed in the following order : PartA, PartB then PartC.

There is no other issue than this one.

I believe I did something wrong, but I don't know what. Could someone help, please ?

Thanks in advance, Regards, G.

Hard to tell due to lack of details, but I assume it is a graphics issue, caused by incorrect config.plist setup for your hardware.
