Yes I also had that problem, but it was related to google chrome. Could be the case here as well. Try using another browser next time you get that static sound. See also my post #92 in this thread.

hello! did you try installing clover instead of chimera? what configs did you use etc? (sorry about my English, I'm from Russia)

I haven't used clover so far. The chimera bootloader works just fine. I'm using standard settings for chimera. In case you need them:

PHP:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
	<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
        <string>No</string>
	<key>Kernel</key>
	<string>mach_kernel</string>
	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
	<string>darkwake=0</string>
	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Timeout</key>
	<string>2</string>
	<key>UseKernelCache</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

Bios settings are also set to standard, apart from the auto-overclocking function I used to slightly boost the CPU and RAM speeds.

You find the post-installation settings for MultiBeast in the initial post of this thread.

Don't worry about your English, I am from Germany! :)

The bios setting he used was the default settings. Some recommended tweaks are hot plugging your ssds, disabling PPL, and auto overclocking. The bios version does not matter what one you have. If you plan to Patch or update I wouldn't recommend the latest bios because it does not recognize the keyboard at boot. 1805 seems to be the most common and you can get an already patched bios from here which helps power management with asus boards. It is very important if you plan to go on this route that you follow the instructions on how to flash you bios because you have to change the file name before you put it on a flash drive. You can download the name change list on the asus website

Well said rickyreall84! :)

I always used standard settings, with every version of the bios so far. Currently running 2104, which is still the latest version since Sep. '13. Keyboard was recognized at boot while updating or patching. It only is somehow important which USB Port you use. Some don't work, but there's always at least one that works. Also with version 2104.

wow haha what a simple solution kinda feel dumb for not trying that. I ended up reverting back to my 1805 because 2104 showed a no keyboard splash screen that bothered me but if switching the usb port works ill switch back to 2104. 1805 does a half screen bios on my cinema display but 2104 bios made it full screen. I wanted to thank you for your posts for the sabertooth its helped a lot of people out.

Nice to hear! No problem, that was the purpose of this thread in the first place! :)

Yes, switching cables works. Asus wouldn't publish a Bios one can not excess. It seams, that only one of the various internal USB hubs works at startup when using 2104. Also, if you run in trouble with your displays, switching cables is the solution.

Cheers!

Need help!!

Hi guys, i had a fully working setup and ran this guide to make it work perfectly..
Wasnt using it for a while just my Win7 partition... and sold my GTX680´s.

Now a friend died.. , and i need to get into my hackintosh to get into my music programs, and the music we were working on.

Problem is that i have switched to Geforce 210.
When i boot i get black screen after the boot logo.. and the screen dies of inactivity.

Is there anyway to fix this without have to whipe the harddrive?
Anyway to get into OSX and change graphic card drivers without new install?

Thankfull for any help.. kind of desperate :(
