For Drives...TRIM is for SSDs. Choose this if your Mavericks installation is on a SSD.

For Network, Choose the Intel Ethernet driver in the current MultiBeast for Mavericks. (I'm assuming you will be only using this Ethernet port.)

For your Dell, don't choose the 1080p option as that's only for monitors with a 1920x1080 resolution.

Hey thanks so much for the quick reply! So just to be clear, I'm assuming you mean v.3.0.4 for the AppleintelE1000e driver, correct since that is the most recent one of the 3 choices?

To anyone who has done this build or one similar, Are you using the stock fan that comes with the CPU or do you think a after market bigger heat sink is necessary? How about air control in the case? How are your fans set up and what fans/sizes do you use? Are you on mavericks 19.9.2 and are you having any problems? thanks for your help.

Use the driver that's currently in MultiBeast - make it easy on yourself.

As for the processor cooler, the Intel cooler does the job, but it's noisy when it the system boots and when the processor is really working hard. There are some processor coolers in the Buyer's Guide, CPU Coolers, that are good ones, but the type and sized of the cooler will depend upon your use (overclocked or not), if your memory has fins or not and the case dimensions. In the Prodigy's case, you might be height limited, so I'd look at a processor cooler like the Thermaltake Slim X3 Low Profile.

I use the case fans that come with the Prodigy, and they work just fine.

sorry if I ask stupid questions...just very new at this.. you say to just use the driver that is currently in multibeast....well, there are 3 versions..so which one of these is the "driver that is currently in multibeast"? Im assuming to just use the most recent version? thanks for your advice and help!

I'm having difficulties with this build though I'm using a GTX 650. I have legacy only is selected for UEFI, VT-d disabled, XHCI & EHCI Hand's Off Enabled.

Using UniBeast I get to the screen selection with USB & My SSD, I select USB, I get to the Apple Logo boot screen, it goes for a few seconds, switches black for a quarter of a second, then I get stuck at a white screen that doesn't progress, as I've let it run for 20 minutes or so.

Has anyone ran into this problem? Or suggestions? Thanks.

Got everything working but it hangs A LOT and it sometimes has a hard time booting up, if I press enter, it just loses picture and freezes. IF I do get in, it hangs and I have no idea how to fix it

I have tha same motherboard with I7-4771 and GTX760 2GB.
I installed Multibeast with the exact same settings, but sleep doesn`t work.
Any ideas?
I tried also darkwake=0 but still the same.
The monitor goes off and i can see the fans of the graphic card stoping for 1 second then they start again..the monitor remains still off but the computer is on. If i move the mouse or keyboard the desktop appears no problem.
This is my third re-installation of Mavericks. At one point i think i was using the optimized default in bios without anything else and the computer went to sleep but when wake up freeze.

Does anybody have a solution?
Thank you.

Wow I had no idea this turned out as popular as it did.

I just now tried installing Mavericks from a fresh install and everything works again except my network.

It doesn't help maybe that I was on F2 bios lol only 3 revisions behind so I updated that to F5 and now i'm doing another fresh install..

I need to get this working for the plain and simple fact my windows 8 partition is pissing me off, ever since I updated to 8.1 it's been blue screening constantly so i'll need to format that but i have no desire to do that right now especially since its so involved. With OS/x I can just install and use it as it is. No need to install other programs except Chrome.

I don't get why the network works with unibeast while booting, but when I install Multibeast is when it decided to go bad.

I saw people having repair drive permissions but i'm not familiar with doing that.

In MultiBeast I use all the same settings as other people have posted in other threads. Maybe I have a lemon lol it works for a while then just stops.

I have a similar error except i Have an Asus sabertooth P67 board
