Thanks WonkeyDonkey for your help and guidance. The 'Clover Configurator' seems to be a great tool indeed. And I'm sure this thread will be valuable for current and future Asus MB owners.

Thanks again!

My plan is to work on a more optimised clover setup for this board. Right now mine has countless folders and files in non-logical places.

Once I get it 100% configured to the characteristics of this board, and all the unnecessary stuff stripped out, it will form part of a build write-up/description.

Tis a slow process though.

A big +1 for this. I'm okay keeping Unibeast plugged in at the moment but if I had some firm ground on the Clover side I'd take the leap.

What all do you have currently? I've net needed to change anything in the Clover configuration in order for it to work. All I've done is to set a default boot volume and fast boot.

I will note that the latest version of clover is defaulting to configuring the imac14,2 (which makes sense, given that it's a Haswell i7), but it does seem to have caused me some sleep issues. Has anyone else been playing with Clover?

Mine is on 13,2 here, Ive not messed about with newer Clover so far. How is your functionality overall with 14,2 ?

Everything seems to be working as I would expect. I'd have to do some further testing to confirm, but my minimum CPU clock speed seems to be lower now. The sleep issues I was having were resolved by fiddling with pmset. It's actually something that 2013 iMac users have been complaining about as well. Check out the Energy Save pref pane:

EDIT: To anyone not having success with installing Clover to their boot drive. It's actually really easy. You want to use these settings when installing:

You should be able to boot just fine using the latest Clover and the standard config.plist.

when rebooting after bootloader installation appears:

THE SYSTEM FOUND UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES on THE FIRMWARE, OPERATING SYSTEM OR UEFI DRIVERS.
PRESS [N] TO RUN THE NEXT BOOT DEVICE , or ENTER DIRECTLY TO BIOS SETUP IF THERE ARE NO OTHER BOOT DEVICES INSTALLED.
GO TO BIOS SETUP- ADVANCED-BOOT and CHANGE THE CURRENT BOOT DEVICE INTO OTHER SECURED BOOT DEVICES.

I ve to run MULTIBEAST and INSTALLING CHIMERA ON GUID PARTINON BEFORE INSTALLING CLOVER?

Sounds like a secure boot issue. Make sure you've disabled that in the UEFI.

This is good, thanks :)

How about your system logs, are there any of the usual warnings there or are they clean ?
Nothing that jumps out at me as being a problem.

Anything specific I should be looking for?
