Hi!
I just had the strangest update ever! Motherbord is the GA-H77DS3H and a HD7770 card. Updated from 8.4.
Updated with comboupdater 8.5. BOTH Update and latest Multibeast (for sound) faild three times in a row, wich slightly upset me. I had backups so no real panic.
GOOD THING is that after I restarted everything works perfect. No error messages no nothing actually. Darwin updated, sound works, sleep works, usb2 works (I dont use usb3) shop and message and facetime to. Sleeptrick has to be done still and thats the only small problem.
What happend???? Anyone has a clue? I have 2 more machines to be updateted but Im hesitating since they work fine just as is.

More progress. With 10.8.5 + UniBeast 2.1.0 on a GA-Z87X-UD4H + i7 4770k, I'm able to get past the first reboot during install, then stops here:

Same issue here. I can only boot into safe mode (-x) - Otherwise I get the same Bluetooth Controller error message - What should I do?

i'm new here, so do excuse my noobness, or if i'm asking something obvious.

Why bother update to 10.8.5 if you are using 10.8.4 without problem..

Is it just bug fixes in certain applications, or does the update increase security ? Just put the machine together, and i've been noticing quite a lot of pop-up advert windows on 10.8.4 using firefox, which don't happen when i'm using my ancient macbook running 10.6.8 with the same version of firefox. No experience using this kind of hardware, do we need anti-virus software when running OSX ?

Any assistance appreciated.

Can now boot into 10.8.5 but system will crash and safari flickers like crazy. Any ideas?

App Store update worked perfectly on GA-Z77X-UD5H and i7 3770K.
Audio needed a touch from MultiBeast (which I always expect).

MultiBeast will be updated soon. In the meantime see this post. However, my Ivy Bridge systems work w/o the GenericUSBXCHI.kext with 10.8.5.
