Not that I know of :/ . I used my external hard drive on it (a portable one that needs a powered port) and it runs fine all flash drives I've plugged in worked. The only problem I've come across is, I used a bluetooth usb dongle (D-link DBT-122) for a magic mouse and the mouse lagged; I don't know what this is down to as with my power mac g5 the bluetooth and mouse work great together. It doesn't make too much of a difference to me as can use the mighty mouse which I quite like anyway :)

Hi Guys,

After doing some heavy research on the NUC we have added our findings to the EDP repo.

See more here: https://code.google.com/p/osxlatitude-edp/source/browse/#svn/model-data/Intel_NUC_DC3217IYE/common

Some notes / Considerations:
1. We patched ssdt tabels
2. We choose macbookpro8,3 to get full support for speedstep
3. We re-did the dsdt from lastest bios dump

I'm gonna check out your work tomorrow on my nuc, see if we missed anything

Cheers!

//Leon

Thanks Valkin, could you please explain what are the differences between your work and what is stated in this thread? I've follow this thread and everything works well on my NUC, ethernet edition. But it may be a good move to switch to your approach if allow any advantage. Please share with us your findings and your opinion.

do you mean back up those two kexts, install the 10.8.3 update, then reinstall the backed up kexts?
thanks

Dear SynGatesFan200s, I have carefully followed your guide and read all your posts in other threads but I can't get video working.

I have working sound, wifi, bluetooth, 1920x1080 resolution, I have loaded AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext and working OpenGL but it is very slow.

I have redone everything from scratch several times with various approaches and getting same results.

OpenGL Extensions Viewer tests show only 1 FPS at OpenGL version 2.1.

The flash videos are lagging exactly as you described earlier in your posts but I can't get around the problem.

Adding string loads the AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext but does not make any difference.

The About This Mac shows 384Mb of installed memory but OpenGL Extensions Viewer shows 0 Mb Video Memory.

1. Could you, please, post your results of OpenGL Extensions Viewer tests? It is available via App Store for free.

2. I have only 4Gb of RAM. Could you test your system by removing one of memory dimms and see if it makes a difference?

Sure thing! Give me a sec :) BTW as an update for all of you, 10.8.3 has been released and works just fine on my unit. ALSO there is a BIOS update for 0039. I upgraded and things still work just fine.

could you please publish a step by step guide to upgrade a working box from 10.8.2. to 10.8.3?

thanks in advance

Hi, is there anybody else who would like to post their OpenGL test results and an amount of video memory shown by app?

It is really good program which let's you see how any edits to your system actually improve or deter your graphics.

There is an older version available which support full screen tests to see if resolution switching is working!

I tried both DSDT.aml files. My system will boot the OSX partition from the Unibeast drive just fine. But once I run Multi-beast I get kernel panics on startup.

Maybe my USB drive is messed up, I will build a new one first before trying again. I've done the cloning also tons of times on my previous systems, you get sick of re-installing at some point :)

Ok. So I'll just admit it. I'm a dumb-ass. I followed the guide to the letter. Just one major mistake; Unibeast 1.5.3 doesn't work, you need the latest and I didn't the check if I was using the latest version, apparently I had an old version in my download folder. So I redownloaded and everything was a breeze. Sleep works perfectly with default settings. I'm using Dell DW1501 which is natively recognized. I also have a el cheapo chinese bluetooth USB dongle and that works as well.

I'm happy!
