i ordered this motherboard two days ago. I saw this post last night and was praying I would get one with version 1.0. Unfortunately it arrived today with version 1.1. Time to order a wireless card.

I just got this board at my local comp USA and luckily is the rev 1.0 Supported chip

I just got this board at my local comp USA and luckily is the rev 1.0 I noticed it had the integrated wireless nic slot can I get a branded apple wireless nic and pop it in there and be able to use it?

I recommed getting a third party WLAN PCI Card as lots of them work out-of-the-box with OS X and don't even cost quite as much as an original apple wireless nic.

Hey guys and gals,
I decided to buy the GA-H77-ds3h because it was recommended in the CustoMac Buyer's Guide. Good board overall, installation was pretty easy. However, the problem is that the latest revision of this board (and the Z77 variant) includes a different LAN card than the original. The original had an AR8151 and the new one has the AR8161. Maolj's AtherosL1c doesn't work with the AR8161 so for now anyone who bought this motherboard might be a little angry. I'm not that pissed off about it, because I'm sure eventually Maolj's kext will be updated to work with this networking chip. And I also have a mini-pcie to pciex1 adapter coming in the mail that I will use with my re-branded BCM4322 wifi card. That will be fine while we wait for the new LAN driver. But I don't know if iCloud and MacAppStore will work with it, I'll let you guys know. Does anyone have experience porting Linux drivers to Mac OS? I wanted to get a thread started for other people with the same problem, to make a place for testing and hopefully get in contact with Maolj himself so we can all work together. I don't know if this person has a blog or website, can't find much info about him/her. I saw a few threads with the same issue but they are all dead-ends and don't mention that an actual PERSON made the driver and he/she might not be aware of the issue. So, Maolj, if you are out there, please update us. And everyone else, maybe collectively we can get the ball rolling.
Hi there, Look at the link below, the kext seems to be working OK with AR8161 on Lenovo Y480:

Until the rev1.1 ethernet issue is fixed, let's post any temporary solutions we can find and confirm.

I'm trying this in the meantime with a GA-Z77-DS3H:
TP-Link: TG-3269 PCI Adapter

May take a couple weeks for me to reply a confirmation.

*EDIT*
I just ran into this

I'm keen to give this a go but I consistently had kernel panics trying to enable the onboard ethernet. I'm still booting off the unibeast USB and running my slightly clunky system from it.. I really don't feel like re-installing ML every time I have a kernel panic so I'm going to hang fire until there is a stable solution.. Thanks for all the hard work guys, much appreciated.

I'm running the Australian release GA-Z77-D3H (rev 1.1), an i5 3570k, GT640, GSkill RAM, 120GB SSD for ML, 60GB SSD for Windows, 1TB HDD, 500GB HDD..

Thank you for stating that. It would boot fine then all of a sudden panic out and i had to reinstall mountain lion... what i started to do just make a time machine backup of it and just restore it every time so i dont have to download and install my applications again.
