Hi Mikey101

What's tha native resolution of your monitor and how is it connected to your computer (eg DVI, HDMI)?

Okay.....interesting. Maybe it is a case of getting framebuffer ordering correct. Is it the displayport you are using or one of the two HDMI outputs? I know Miramar was looking at editing the binary file inside one of the framebuffer kexts with help from Toleda so it may be a good idea to read up a bit more about that.

Thanks for the help guys! I'm using a 1080p LG TV connected to the HDMI port. I've had it in many different resolutions before. I'll try looking at mirimar's posts. I also just read there is a procedure for HD4000 to inject the correct data into a configuration file for the board, but miramar said it wasn't needed in his case.

Unfortunately my DDR3 seems not to be compatible with the board -.- getting bluescreens on windows referring to this and therefor i will not try again installing os x until i got this solved...

Hi Minihack,

First, thanks for your topic, which convinced me to buy this motherboard.
I follow your installation instructions and patched the bios (from samisnake).
With Multibeast, I installed your DSDT's version that is patched for general use, but after that I can't boot in OSX :( (I can see the apple logo and after that, it appears a static gray screen).

Do you have any idea of this problem ?

My config:
- zotac z77-itx (patched bios from samisnake)
- i5 3570k
- 2x4Go ram Corsair Vengeance
- PNY Geforce GTX 660 Ti

Thanks !

Do not use other's DSDT directly. Mostly, it will not work. Any small change could change DSDT.

Did you do this using the integrated graphics? Better to do the initial install without any graphics card in the box and get things working before then putting in a discrete card.

Also, try without DSDT at least to begin with as with the patched bios that should work okay for you.

Report back on how it is going and will give some help. Also check out the thread from Miramar which is dedicated to using Ivy Bridge processors on this board. This thread (at the moment until I can justify buying a new processor) is more focussed on using Sandy Bridge with this board.

Thanks, Nooble and Minihack for your advice.

Finally it works with your patched DSDT, GraphicEnabler=No and PCIRootUID=1 (Multibeast).

Everything works perfectly except wake (it works but I have black screen with nothing on wake, I have tried with HD4000 only and same result :()

Otherwise, how can I test the proper functioning of the processor power consumption ?
(hwmonitor: cpu multiplier x28 / x36 § cpu frequency 2772mhz / 3564 mhz - just in few second cpu multiplier down at x16).

edit: another problem, front audio have a poor quality, how to activate hd audio ? (back panel audio works like a charm)

Hi minihack,

Are you using nVidia or AMD video card in your build? Why you have two video device in your DSDT? one called "GFX0" and another one called "IGPU". Both with audio support "onboard-1" and "onboard-2". That "GFX0" looks like for nVidia or AMD video card.

Thanks

Noodle

Today I added a new folder to the first post. This is just an update to what I am using right now, which is HD 3000 graphics with audio over HDMI, the patched Samisnake bios and the Toleda AppleHDA.kext.
I have not used this board yet with any discrete graphics cards or with Ivy Bridge CPU.
