[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

On About this Mac it says

Radeon RX 580 8 GB

I never did the Radeon Boost and I dont see it here in my config.plist either.
Okay, so this is a dual-GPU system. Each application will need to support multi-GPU capability. We have to check with the application itself to see if it will let you select a GPU when multiple GPUs are present.

im trying to use Unreal Engine.

On this note, how would I go to a single GPU? Basically swap out the 580 for the 5700? I've tried booting it with just one and it gets stuck on the apple logo boot.

This might be a dumb question but.

1. What output are you using to the monitor ? TB out from z390 motherboard or video out from 580/5700 (Display Port)

2. Is the iGFX enabled/disabled in the bios ?

eg. I have 580 out to motherboard in and TB/USB-C out from motherboard to monitor & iGFX is enabled in bios
This means when I reboot I never see the Apple logo & there is just black screen & the desktop shows up

If I want to see OpenCore picker & apple logo I have to disconnect TB & use the DisplayPort out from the 580 to the monitor directly (this is usually when I'm doing an OS upgrade etc, otherwise it's my regular setup above)

We can simply remove previous GPU from slot-1 and install the new one in its place. Then it's good to perform a CMOS Reset and configure BIOS parameters. For the RX 5700 XT, boot argument agdpmod=pikera is necessary.

1. I'm using a DP from 580. I did try going out of the 5700 DP with the 580 in, but again it got stuck on the boot screen.

How/where are you going IN to the motherboard from the 580?

- CMOS reset is all within the BIOS right? What are the new parameters I need to put in?
- Where/how do I insert the boot argument?

Is there a step-by-step guide to this? I'm bit of a visual learner.

Do i add the 'agdpmod=pikera' at the end of this?
