Asus Z690 ProArt Creator WiFi (Thunderbolt 4) + i7-12700K + AMD RX 6800 XT

Thanks for your hard work OP, got this beauty up and running yesterday! No issues on BIOS 1505.
The only thing I’ve noticed is nothing gets detected on the third PCIe slot - how would I go about remedying that? (Works in windows)
Congratulations.

Regarding the 3rd PCIe slot, if the card works in Windows but not in macOS, then the card may not be compatible with macOS.
  • What is the make/model of the card?
  • Does it show up in IORegistryExplorer under RP21?

RP21 shows one of my Sabrent M2 drives.
Just realised it doesn’t work in slot 2 either! It should be compatible, worked under Mojave and is officially supported in Big Sur. Blackmagic Intensity pro 4K x4.

My FireWire controller card X1 does actually work in slot 3. In slot 2 shows up under PEG2@1,1 or as RP09@1D in slot 3.

Hello Casey, Thanks for your reply. Yes nice to see that info is there. Actually I loaded the latest BlueToolFixup.kext version nr 2.6.2 and that is also not working combined with the IntelBluetoothfirmware.kext. Do you have an idea what could be causing this? When I try to pair the bluetooth mouse the bluetooth indicator start spinning but the mouse does not show up.
My info from the system report shown here has been mentioned by others too who have problems with Bluetooth in Monterey but still the solution is not found
My DW1560 Bluetooth stopped working with Monterey 12.5. I haven't been able to get it work, so I resorted to change the card to BCM9340NG.

Friendly Reminder: macOS Ventura is only a developer beta at this time. According to site Rules, we can discuss PUBLIC betas, but not developer betas.

Correct. More generally speaking it would be interesting to have better progress in implementing a BT 5.0 LE + Wi-Fi6 solution for our hackintoshes... because I don't think Broadcom will last much longer ...

I have a strong suspicion that Broadcom + Fenvi lives on for the next iteration of macOS.

But Hackintosh as we know it (i.e., x86 running on Intel and AMD processors) has a sunset that's coming. Eventually, the latest version of macOS will no longer run on x86. Probably by 2025. Until then, let's enjoy it until the wheels fall off. And who knows, maybe Intel might fix its performance per watt issues, and might actually convince Apple to reconsider...some couples who break up get back together again. Although I'm not holding out any hope.

Congratulations.

Ahh never mind, it was a Blackmagic driver issue. Had to manually delete some kexts and downgrade it, all working now.

So I just found out that I can connect an aquantia pcie device to z690 Formula via thunderbolt using an m.2 nvme enclosure, by way of an m.2-to-pcie x4 adapter.

= working 10G ethernet! Works immediately upon hot plug...

My formula has spare pcie slots and an aquantia 10gbps lan built in to the motherboard... so this isn't strictly necessary for my use case. But this proof of concept could be useful for situations where all pcie slots are utilized or for situations where the motherboard is mini-itx and doesn't have more pcie slots. I haven't tested with other pcie devices...and I should point out the pcie device needs to be able to be powered via the thunderbolt bus. If it consumes too much power this won't work, and you may need to connect external power.

Nice! I tried something similar with my old X299 Sage build and the onboard u.2 to add more GC-Titan Ridge cards. Didn't work very well tho  But other PCIe devices that I tried seemed to work better.

Anyone tried OC V.81 yet? Any issues?
