ASUS X299 Monterey/Ventura Support

Yeah i do, it doesnt look like the USB ports are allowing them to work.. maybe a USB mapping issue? Any ideas?

Try using the asmedia ports on the back. The XhciPortLimit is broken on Monterey so you’ll have to use your existing USB kext to fix ports

Yup, thanks! That worked. I got rid of USBInjectAll.kext and replaced with my original KGP-iMacPro-XHCI.kext and has managed to give me usb access to mouse and keyboard.

Cheers,

Managed to get a build of Monterey OS up and running. Thanks so much @djlild7hina for your Base EFI and help. Encountering an issue now where the 6900xt doesn't seem to be functioning properly. Web browsing is a little laggy and the OS struggles to play any video or show any photo images when i open them etc. Is there any further steps i should be looking at to get the graphics up to par?

EDIT.
Just realised my card is XTXH model and needs to be modded.

Yeah was about to ask if your card is properly recognized. I know the device id spoof method is in the thread located here somewhere

If you switched to MacPro7,1 you may want to double check the info.plist of the XHCI.kext and make sure it is set to MacPro7,1 instead of iMacPro1,1. If your ports are working properly then I guess you don't have to worry about it

Thanks again @djlild7hina Any idea where there is a walkthrough on how to spoof the device-id for whatevergreen? I have no idea where to start.

@djlild7hina quick question, I outlined above my method of cloning my install to an external (carbon copy cloner of the main partition, and then copying the EFI from the internal drive’s EFI partition into the EFI partition of the external drive)

Is there another / better way to do this with OpenCore? It always worked perfectly with Clover but this isn’t working the same. If it is the right method, it could my external acting up. Let me know your thoughts, thanks and again, thank you for being a legend and helping out with all of this!

I haven't used CCC on Monterey so not sure if it works or not? But yeah ideally you'd want to just clone the drive and then mount the EFI partition of the cloned drive then copy your working EFI over.
