Z690 Chipset Motherboards and Alder Lake CPU

@luchina Congratulation for your results, and many thanks for managing to pass the message that it was not achieved on bare metal!

This is an interesting find, but any discussion about it will have to find another home.

Grateful, I found it interesting to share the result, especially since we are in a moment where everything is new and still very obscure.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the other home is, I'm a little off with this :(

I would love to know, LOL

Well, any public mention by name would get unwanted attention, so you'll have to find. Be imaginative, possibly a bit crazy, or insane, over mac OS. ;)

InsanelyMac site is not off topic here, you can mention it. Just don't mention tmx86.com over there or you'll certainly hear about it from them. That's my "tip of the day."

@trs96 Thanks for the tip. I've had some bad experiences here about mentioning the non-English-speaking forum where OpenCore developers are active or spelling out the open-source hypervisor which was used by @luchina, so I'm getting wary.

This is a VERY long thread... has anyone nailed down a guide for setting up Clover for the Alder Lake CPU's on Z690 mainboards yet?
I would take all the advice to switch to OpenCore. I hesitated for a long time since I was intimidated by the new format, and all the new terminology that I was not familiar with.

However, CaseySJ has made it very easy with his guides and EFI folders.

I used to have a 6700K desktop and some Intel laptop, both hacks. Sold both and switched to plain MBP 15' in 2018. Reading this thread makes the fingers ITCH. Great work from great minds here. I'll go for it when there's a good mini-itx DDR4 board available. In a black Lian Li Q58.
