@oli.mathieu

SSDT-CPMTBASL is one of your System SSDT (included on BIOS). This SSDT manage ACPI of onboard or add-on thunderbolt device.

Like we have done with @InsomnIaHackintosh 's board (Asus ProArt X570-CREATOR WIFI), you can have full thunderbolt tree appearing on IOReg. That also include all informations are populated under System Information / Thunderbolt/USB4.

You only have to use SSDT from this post and modify it depending of your Thunderbolt root port (RPxx or BYD2).. Your can see that on IORegistryExplorer tool.

Keep in mind that thunderbolt device should be enabled under BIOS (Thunderbolt Force Power and Thunderbolt USB).

Unfortunately, It seem that Hotplug feature is not possible on this board (following @dehjomz post).

Because GeekBench single-core score has dropped significantly, let's first check this:
  • What Cpuid1Data are you using?
View attachment 533979
  • Try either:
    • Coffee Lake 8th Gen EB060800 00000000 00000000 00000000
    • Comet Lake 10th Gen 55060A00 00000000 00000000 00000000
  • If this does not help to raise GeekBench score, then we can try changing System Product Name:
    • iMac20,2
    • iMac20,1
    • Others...
  • Whenever we change System Product Name we should check if USB 3 is still working.
I wonder if there's a difference in CPU Power management depending on the SMBIOS used? Would be nice to see the trend line for system frequency overtime in Intel Power Gadget...

** Little Announcement **

I decided to assemble an Alder Lake system after all. The plan is to start with a reasonably priced Z690 DDR4 board. This means no on-board Thunderbolt.

Components ordered yesterday:
Components already on hand:
ETA for all parts:
  • Tomorrow (Friday the 12th)
P.S. I have no need for this system; this is pro bono (for the public good). :)

A new golden build?

Great work everyone.

@CaseySJ , how do you feel about the chances of having a fully functional Alder-Lake Hack? (including E-Cores)

I cannot elevate my own build to golden status! That's for the sys admins to decide.
If the success of Z390 and Z490 are anything to go off of, I think your Z690 build will be quite successful, given the performance of and interest in Alder Lake, coupled with the fact that Raptor Lake support *should* just be a BIOS update away as well. This will be a build that will last a while. My main hope is to be able to enter macOS with all P and E cores enabled... to take full advantage of the Hybrid architectures.
