Z490 & Z590 - Will Z590 ever have macOS Support ?

Looks like I also needed to mess with the speed of my I-225. I saw it was falling to 100Mbps limit. Since everything on my network is gigabit, not 2.5G, I set the speed to 1000baseT and now the speeds match my Z390 build.

We'll see if that holds stable. I am on 11.4 and using the FakePCIID.kext method since the old patch no longer works and was crashing macOS.

I tried reading the complete thread but too many pages. I just bought myself an Asus B560-F Gaming Wifi mobo and an i7 11700K cpu. Will I be able to install Big Sur on this. I currently have an Asus Z370-P i7 9700 which runs Big Sur and Monterey with no issues.

Yes, but forget about the correct use of the iGPU.

Hi there.

If you are currently running Monterey on your Z370 build you must be quite experienced, and what is more a registered Developer, so I'm a bit surprised at the question to be honest.

You can install Big Sur on your new B560 system BUT there is no macOS support for your 11th Gen iGPU, so you would have to use a supported discrete GPU.

:)

Thank you for that, can you recommend a graphics card? Monterey was really not hard to install, I used the same open core efi and after a couple of reboots it loaded. I installed it on a spare hard drive first to see if it works.

That depends on your budget. Most decent, powerful GPUs have been bought up by the cryptominers. If you can find an AMD RX GPU for example, it will cost big bucks.

You can either use a supported AMD card or an older Nvidia that still has native macOS support.
