HackinDROM App testing (not website)

strange, as i just tried it as seeing all your unsuccessful posts, unzipped, moved to Applications folder and it opened up fine

maybe try a couple of other apps downloaded from the web and see how you get on

As described in my last post, it opens now. It's not fully functional, but it opens.

Inqnuam has said the issue isn't on my end, and my experience with literally dozens of apps the past two weeks supports that.
 
OMG
Progress! SV7 opens, both when I launch from the binary and from the Finder. However, in both cases, the pop-up menu for selecting the motherboard doesn't work. When I click on the up/down arrows, nothing happens. (The GPU and WiFi pop-up menus work.)

Details:

First I tried the binary. The first window I got was this:



When I clicked "Open", the app launched and terminal looked like this:


The app window looked like this:



It also opened the HackinDROM folder in the "T" folder.

I quit the binary by stopping the Process in Activity Monitor. Is this the correct way to quit? (I also didn't see any other way when launching from the Finder.)

Double-clicking the app icon in the Applications folder gave this slightly-different window:



But everything else appears to be the same as with the binary.

SOMETHING ISNT SET CORRECTLY IN YOUR config.plist

so when I asked a value with a function it returned error but it should return something
as I made many changes I can't tell you which one was the "faulty"
Please create an Report Archive and post it ill investigate that "issue"

Select your motherboard then click to confirm the app will lunch like for other users!

Simply mount the macOS disk with the red Mount button. Then click that little icon:

Then on the main screen:
Mount the EFI partition which you used to boot your system
Then click on the archive button

I clicked "Confirm" even though I couldn't choose a Motherboard.

Then I generated the Report Archive (attached) per your instructions..

When I went back to the first screen, the Motherboard pop-up menu worked! So there appears to be a bug in there somewhere.

I selected my MOBO. Next, I revealed the redacted serials, and the System UUID is just four letters ("dsdq").

The System Serial, ROM, and Board Serial look fine.

HackinDROM removes the original SystemUUID so please do the following:
  • Open your config.plist in OpenCore Configurator (v2.33.1.2 or later).
  • In the PlatformInfo --> DataHub page, check if System UUID is simply "dsdq".
    • If so, click the Generate button (marked "- 4 -") in the screenshot.
  • I noticed that your System Product Name is iMac18,3 instead of iMac19,1 or newer.
    • If this is a migrated system, it means you might have a proper System UUID from the previous build. It would be best to find that old System UUID and copy-paste it here instead of clicking the "Generate" button.
    • But if this is in fact a brand new system with new serials, I would recommend iMac19,1.
  • Then save the file and reboot the system.
  • After logging back into macOS, run HackinDROM and see if everyone works normally.

This is the default value that I introduced into Special Version 7 to get something instead of the error
He have to check if his Universally Unique IDentifier is in the correct format:

only Hexadecimal values: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F
and "-" at the correct index
