Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Good to know. I've been using Logitech Unifying mice and keyboards for years with no trouble, so eager to see if Logitech Flow lives up to expectations.

@CaseySJ We use Logitech MX Keys and Mx Master 3 mice on all our systems.
Excellent products. The second best decision we made.
Connection via Logitech network.
Performs flawlessly even at Bios boot.

My favorite is the MX Ergo trackball. The Ergo is undoubtedly an acquired taste.

Gigabyte B550 Vision D (AMD Ryzen)
Hmm, what shall we do about this?? ;)
Thunderbolt 3 Certified

Can AMD platform run Adobe Creative Suit now? I read somewhere that all these apps have to be patched in AMD platform.

Ryzen is a better choice if Adobe apps are supported.

that's exactly what i meant, I use your efi OC-061-VISION-D-iGPU and I get resolution in full 4k, but I have exactly the problems that you described...:the internet pages can't open, vlc-player, images and etc... also can't open. This happened only with board z490 vison D, by other board as Z170X-UD5 TH is all was worked fine. I really don't understand why still no working solution for this board, come on guys your are here great experts, please do it:)
We have tried, but this problem has been around for two years. AMD GPUs are inexpensive now because the crypto-mining craze has passed, so the 'solution' is to use even a low end AMD GPU. We use the iGPU only for emergency (temporary) situations such as:
  • Troubleshooting a problem with AMD GPU
  • Troubleshooting a monitor connection, sleep/wake, or refresh rate problem
  • Waiting for an AMD GPU to arrive

It shows the locale as "en"

I am running this on Catalina 10.15.6

Just tried running the command again and it put out the same result as before
I just tried the same thing:
Bash:
% ./cpu_name_v2.sh "10-Core Intel Core i9-10850k"
Locale: en
New Name: 10-Core Intel Core i9-10850k
ok? (y/n):
Some questions:
  • Are you using the right quotation mark (to the left of the Return key)?
  • Is your keyboard in the US-EN layout?
  • Try omitting the quotation marks and place a \ before each space, like this:
Bash:
% ./cpu_name_v2.sh 10-Core\ Intel\ Core\ i9-10850k
Locale: en
New Name: 10-Core Intel Core i9-10850k
ok? (y/n):

Long time since I posted, last time 2013, now retired (tired) and have time on hand.
I have built my first Hackintosh since then Z490 Vision D with very miner problems in the build.
Thank you CaseySJ for the excellent guide. Opencore seems a giant step forward.
All the best from Qld Australia.
Glad to hear it. I hope the minor problems were resolved.

Hello!
Yes, the Pikera option is enabled. I followed the guide and used the AMD GPU OpenCore configuration file, making changes for the use with Vision G, as described.
Some follow-on questions:
  • What is the make/model of the monitor?
  • Do you see the BIOS splash screen and OpenCore Picker menu on this monitor via the same DisplayPort connection to the RX 5700 XT?
  • But when you select macOS, the Apple logo appears in the center of the screen along with the boot progress bar, but then the screen goes black?
  • Is the RX 5700 XT in the same PCIe slot as the previous RX 580?
  • Is the RX 580 removed from the system?
  • Are the PCI power cables connected to the RX 5700 XT?

Monitor : Apple Cinema HD Display 30” - attached via DualLink-DVI to miniDisplayPort adapter from Apple.

- Same slot (First one) as RX 580
- BIOS, Bootscreen, picker and loading screen (progress bar) is visible as usual, but when it starts the GUI, it simply goes black (no signal)
- Power cables are attached - card is working completely fine in Ubuntu with the monitor
- Attaching a HDMI dummy did not change the situation
- Only 5700 XT in the system

You may not like this advice, but I have to ask:
  • Do you have any other monitors? Specifically, recent monitors with HDMI 1.4+ or DisplayPort 1.1+?
  • Do you have a flatscreen TV close by with HDMI?
  • If so, do those monitors display video over HDMI and/or DisplayPort cables?
