Compatability with 10th Gen Intel

Hi has anyone experienced freezes when trying to install as I’ve been trying and trying on my 1035g1 but every so often normally at the two minutes left mark it just freezes completely and I can’t sort it

Installed 10.15.4 onto HP 14-dq1033CL (CPU i5-1035G4, 12GB memory, Dell 1820A wlan/BT, and 500GB NVMe SSD) with the clover EFI package posted in this thread previously. I added wlan/BT driver only. The installation was fine but as expected: no kext loaded for GPU. Screen resolution is fine at 1080p but VRAM 7MB.

Tried to update to 10.15.5, and further 10.15.6, but not helpful.

By the way, OpenCore 0.5.8 didn't work for me. Tried many times with exact instructions from OC website.

I am sorry before, can you tell me did you replaced your Intel SSD in your laptop? because on my laptop HP 14s-DQ1013TU got kp that related to the nvme.

Got Catalina installed on a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14 (i5-1035g1) as well now.
Current Problems:
- Error during the last seconds of the setup
- Error during the second phase of the setup (both can be ignored, MacOS boots fine)
- VoodooI2C does not work currently
- No audio (alc287 if I’m not mistaken)
- No GPU acceleration (7mb in settings)
- Screen Brightness not working (WIP)

The laptop itself is pretty solid for macOS though, swappable WiFi card and an extra m2 slot.

Did you use Clover or Opencore? Can you post your EFI? Any issues with the time on your setup? The time on my setup is always ahead.

Here you go, based on muhydeen's and TUNIN96's work. Probably need to remove the ACPI files on different machines.
While we wait for proper acceleration we should figure out the trackpads and audio.

For you guys who got the installer to run: Did you also face the error messages? If so, how did you get rid of them?
I tried "date" in terminal, which freed me from the first "Can not installed on this machine" error, but I cant get rid of the other two (which dont seem to be critical).

Thank muhydeen, I've tried your EFI folder, encountered an error message on installation but skipping it as you mention, the installation still succeeded.

The performance is great, but is there a way to reduce the screen brightness?

Yes. I replaced SSD. The original SSD is 128GB only, too small for dual windows/macOS systems

Changed Smbiso to 15.2

Booted into the installer
Formantted SSD
Started install (Error at end)
Rebooted
Booted from installed SSD into 2nd installer (Error at end)
rebooted
and its installed!

No trackpad or wifi, gpu 7mb, Didnt test sound.
