@djlild7hina one last question regarding your gc-titan ridge:
Does it work on a cold boot for you now? TB-devices loads properly etc. And did it work even before the flash?

Honestly I don’t use any TB devices atm. That’s why I recommended to look at CaseySj’s thread since there’s a lot more feedback there.

Hello all!

I used to run High Sierra with a 1080 ti and now i recently buy a 5700 XT to update to Catalina.

I was using Clover and now I wanted to try Opencore.

I followed the "Dortania" guide and followed the link and the guide from
djlild7hina

I cannot lauch the install, i'm stuck at "Pci Configuration Begin" with an error : AE_NOT_FOUND

I've searched a lot to find out how to fix that but i'm a little bit confused...

If someone has an idea that would be great ! .. :)

My config :

Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 x299
I9 7920X
Asus Stric Radeon Rx 5700 Xt Oc
64gb Ram

Are you on the latest bios version?
The SHAD device sds0 error is in the Sensrhub firmware ssdt, most boards have this firmware issue and it doesn’t really affect anything. I think your boot issues are somewhere else.

Hey @canyondust thanks for the reply!

I'm on f8 bios not the latest (F9P) shoud I update ?

Each time I try, it doesn't freeze at te same line but always just after "Pci configuration begin"

hello... first let me thank you all for the great work! Its fantastic how many brilliant minds are working together on this :)

I have managed to get Catalina running on my ASUS X299 Gaming E II - i9-10900X pretty nicely. As far I can tell, everything works besides the sleep... I have created custom USB map and applied the entire OpenCore getting stared guide so far but it didn't help. I think I have two issues:

1) Desktop wakes immediately after sleep - an evergreen. Couldn't figure out yet why in this particular case. However, there is a strange thing with my board: USB header HS07 seems to serve as HUB for several ports, including the internal one which is used by the bluetooth card...Is that weird?

log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason" gives me

Code:
2020-05-23 22:15:10.209837+0200 localhost powerd[100]: [powerd:sleepWake] Wake reason: "<private>" identity: "<private>"
2020-05-23 23:27:29.840562+0200 localhost powerd[103]: [powerd:sleepWake] Wake reason: "<private>" identity: "<private>"

not so helpful

2) Crash after wake: My setup is crashing after waking from sleep with a kernel panic:

So you mapped HS07 to internal? What happens if you disable that port in your usb kext?
Might help to check your usb devices and unplug to narrow down which device is causing the issue.

Hi everyone!

I managed to install Catalina on my machine.

I was basically following official guide and used some stuff from Github mentioned in first post.

I do have some small problems:
- external USB drives show as internal - connected to USB port on my case (internal USB3 header) - how to fix this? Tried using different USB port kexts for this board - didn't help
- I have MacProMemoryNotificationDisabler, but still I have this in system info (no notification):
Screenshot 2020-05-24 at 18.57.48.jpg

I tried compiling from github (https://github.com/IOIIIO/MacProMemoryNotificationDisabler) and right now I think I am running my compiled version. Before I had much more of these crashes:
Screenshot 2020-05-24 at 19.00.22.jpg

- SmallTree drivers are old, there is newer version on SmallTree website. I updated and it is working as expected. @djlild7hina - maybe it would be a good idea to update driver in github? Newest version is basically for Catalina.

Oh, and to add few things: I am using PowerPlay tables to undervolt Radeon VII. This works great. Also, I added some properties in device info and this makes Radeon VII more like Radeon Vega Pro II. Much better benchmark scores. I am not sure about posting links to other forums here, but if you need more info, feel free to send me a PM.

1) What is your USB port mapped as. Internal?
2) I don't believe the kext fixes that. Just removes the notification and also the dev is supposed to release a fix for those crashes.
3) Github updated

Also looks like you're using Generic SMBIOS settings since your processor isn't showing Intel Xeon. It's more cosmetic though but I don't use Generic and have everything populated like in my Github config
