[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

This sounds like a problem with the contents of CLOVER/drivers/UEFI on the Mojave SSD. Please boot from the USB install disk then mount EFI partition of Mojave internal SSD and capture screenshot of the CLOVER folder with the drivers/UEFI folder fully expanded.

hi Casey

here is a screenshot

@CaseySJ Your work on Thunderbolt in this thread continues to amaze me! Any chance with the knowledge and methodology you have found for Alpine Ridge, that we may be able to get full sleep / wake working for the patched Titan Ridge cards? I am still blown away by how well it works as it is but always want that perfection!

https://bundlehunt.com has VideoProc going super cheap at the moment if anyone wants to support the developers seeing as well all use it to test our GPU setup. Also some other nice bits on there may be helpful to people.

Are you booting the system without Thunderbolt devices connected?
Yes, booting several times without any TB3 device connected, I have also erased NVRAM, shutdown, cable power disconnect, restart, etc. but no success, ready to follow your instructions, thanks again for your time and for helping us!

About GA-Z170X-UD5 TH:

On request, Gigabyte sent a modified BIOS with unlocked "CFG_Lock" option. I have this version (F22i). If you need it, I can additionally unlock the TB settings: "GPIO3 Force Pwr"+"ACPI Removal Object Support" and send to you. Of course, I can open all the TB settings, but it'll cause confusion for beginners.
That sounds good! If you can provide the F22i BIOS with unlocked CFG_Lock and just "GPIO3 Force Pwr" / "ACPI Removal Object Support" I can add it to the Repository for GA-Z170X-UD5 TH.

Oh wow. Not having to pop over to the grub shell every time I reset my BIOS would be lovely!

Alas Titan Ridge is proving to be an intractable beast. Without the technical reference manual it's really difficult to proceed.

I purchased 2 licenses a day or two ago from this site.

Is bus-polling still a thing on USB? A USB audio interface should be the only device on that USB port, and directly plugged into that same port. Any USB audio interface will probably saturate that bus, so I wouldn't use it for data. Can you just use tried and true Gb Ethernet to transfer files?

I'm not running a USB audio interface, it's Tthunderbolt, and also the only thing on the Thunderbolt bus. There's nothing much on my USB bus. Keyboard, Mouse, Ableton Push 2, and the Bluetooth/Wifi (internal header). Each device is plugged into it's own USB slot, and no hubs are used. It was a different guy having issues transferring files over USB. My issue is the entire USB subsystem randomly going completely dead until I reboot the computer - but only under OSX.
