Thank you so much. worked like a charm for ALC1150. I used Hackintool to install those kexts in /Library/Extensions/
Try this:This does not work for me. The issue is that AppleHDA.kext will not load. Even using vanilla AppleHDA.kext in /L/E, it still shows as not loaded.
Audio worked perfectly in Mojave. Once updated to Catalina, AppleHDA.kext would not load and no audio devices are listed.
Any other ideas? I've been fighting this for a while. Latest Lilu and AppleALC tried in both /L/E and in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other.
Using a USB DAC for now (which works perfectly), but would be nice to get onboard audio working again.
As I stated in my post, I have tried AppleALC and Lilu (and I do have WEG also) in /L/E, and it didn't work. Are you saying that using Hackintool does something different? It doesn't seem to matter where those kexts are, AppleHDA.kext (an Apple system kext) does not load. AppleALC loads fine, either in /L/E or EFI.Try this:
Use Hackintool and install AppleALC, Lilu, WhateverGreen into /L/E. If it's not clear, you have to read the post "An iDiot's Guide To Lilu and its Plug-in's". Hopefully it will help for you.
Which version of kexts do you use? Mine are Lilu 1.4.1, AppleALC 1.4.6 and WEG 1.3.6 works fine for me. I've been installed this kexts using Hackintool. And my config.plist file can be useful for you. See attached...As I stated in my post, I have tried AppleALC and Lilu (and I do have WEG also) in /L/E, and it didn't work.
