[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

You may try other Layout IDs such as 26 or 27. Also, search this thread for “front panel audio” by member=CaseySJ and you’ll find my view on this repeated over and over and over again! :)

None of these did not help. ON case of 26 there is no audio device and 27 adds an empty audio output that does not exist actually.

But audio distortion remains. If I run comp under linux, there is no any audio distortion.

Are you using the front panel audio jack (the one built into the computer case)?

I tested all audio jacks available, but distortion is from any jack.

I found the solution with the help of xjn819 ,It is said to be a bug in Gigabyte motherboards.

  • BIOS->IGPU-Enabled DVMT-32M
  • Clover->boot-Argument-slide=1
  • EFI->CLOVER-drivers-UEFI add MemoryAllocation.efi

Knowing the problem with free2000.efi driver, I didn't used it, and because of this I was getting allocation error while booting the system..
This should be pinned, no other option worked for me except this.

Which build guide did you follow? Please see the Catalina Mini-Guide and compare your setup against that. If you follow that guide, you won’t have Bluetooth, USB, or audio problems.

That solution seems to be for owners of LG UltraFine 5K monitors. But then again, people often post incomplete thoughts that fail to provide the proper context of the problem and the solution. So it’s not clear whether that particular driver with slide=1 is meant to be a general purpose solution or a niche solution for LG owners.

Have you tried OcQuirks-4 with FwFirmwareServices?

@CaseySJ just booted my computer hadn't logged in yet sat at the password screen for like 20 mins without a reboot? Would think lock screen would be the same but it wasn't. You had asked about the time it takes all of us is roughly the same.
But it still reboots at a regular interval after logging in?
