[Success] GIGABYTE Z370 Gaming 7 + Intel Core i7-8700K + RX 580 + (2x) Dell P2715Q 4k @ 60Hz

Interesting, @jiffyslot. Where you able to figure this out. Mine has worked pretty well for a long time now (just upgraded to 10.14.6), but I want to update my USB stick soon in anticipation of 10.15 and am just curious if you figured out the 99% problem.

Don’t forget you can put turn on the verbose mode -v to see what or where it’s hanging.

True, I was just being lazy...

I didn't figure out the freeze. It's the same setup as when I installed before.

I'll be staying on Mojave for the forseeable future. I've learned the hard way about disrupting creative workflows, so I'm keeping my Lightroom 6 and Photoshop CS6 licenses.

Anyway, I removed the AMD, the Thunderbolt Card, the SATA SSD connections, and both of the Samsung PCIe SSDs. I reset the CMOS button, then flipped-out the battery for good measure. I then Q-Flashed to an unmodded version of F13. After putting everything back together, the SanDisk 16GB USB2 installer would load, but as before, it sticks for hours at 99.9999999% for a newly created installer (I've remade installers before...) For the OS Mojave install, I booted from a backup, wiped the Samsung 970, and installed Mojave 10.14.4 from a backup boot SSD while I had an EFI boot USB stick installed, just in case. That worked really well. I ran the bug combo update, then used Migration Assistant. For the EFI, etc. I went back to Fake SMC. I also went back to Clover r5033. FWIW, I put the Titan Ridge card back in since there is no hot swap for UAD Thunderbolt 2 devices except on genuine Apple and Windows setups. No problems since then. FWIW: machdep.cpu.microcode_version: 180

dears, regarding graphics hardware acceleration, during use of macx video converter or Videoproc have seen that the programs are using the intel 630 graphics instead of radeon RX580 here.
basically on the hack here is all fine, SMBIOS set to 18,3 in headless mode, stabile. not many kernel patches, try to remove what is not necessary.

is the system still using the RX580 during encoding process ? utilization I see more or less only only on the intel 630.
is it supposed to distribute the load between the two GPUs ?

many thanks !

Having the iGPU active somehow allows the "handoff" from the Intel 630 to the RX-580 to occur in cases such as sending a project to Compressor from inside FCPX.
I find it baffling, though, as a Xeon Mac Pro would not have an iGPU, but a project could still be "sent to Compressor" from within FCPX with a crash. What you have set for your system is fine, from what your "videoproc" screen capture is showing.

Hi, since I updated Clover to the 5058 version and now 5070 (before I was at the 4961 version) I have random kernel panics.
I also tried to downgrade to the 4961 version, but the problem persists.
I have already removed the drivers64UEFI folder.

Someone with similar problems?

I think it's the drivers' fault, because it had already happened in the past, but what's the problem now?

This is one of the many logs that come out after reboot:

Hi Lele,

I'm assuming you have or you will reset the BIOS. Once in a while, my BIOS setup "rots", and then I have to load optimized defaults and reload a saved setup. But once in a while, I have to hard-reset the machine, including but not limited to unplugging the PC, waiting a bit, and flipping out the battery for a couple minutes. If you don't already know this, watch for that red Gigabyte on/off led button next to the OC button on the board: If your power supply is beefy enough, it'll stay lit for a good minute even after you unplug the machine. I'm sticking with 5033. Seems to be stable. Can you still get that version?

Yes, I reset the BIOS by removing the battery and reconfiguring it again.
I also tried to do a clean installation of Clover, but the random kernel panics continue.
I think the problem is related to the efi drivers, because it has already happened a year ago, but I don't remember what the cause was.
I enclose a debug file, maybe you know something I haven't seen...
