[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Just tried, all it does is get about halfway on the apple logo loading screen then hdmi looses signal.
The attached version enables verbose mode so you will see a flurry of log messages during both startup and shutdown. This can be disabled at any time by removing the -v parameter from Boot section of Clover Configurator.

This version also removes a redundant set of USB port limit patches. There were 2 sets of such patches for 10.14.x.

You can copy this file without renaming it to the EFI/CLOVER folder in the EFI partition of your Mojave SSD. Then at the Clover Boot Menu, use arrow keys to select the Options icon to see a menu of options. One of those options will display all .plist files in the CLOVER folder and will let you choose which one to use.

This is a handy feature because if you run into a black screen or something equally pernicious, just reboot and choose a different config.plist.

Anyway, if the system freezes during boot, grab a photo.

Just to let you know Casey, I re-flashed my Motherboard to F6 and the ACPI error regarding [\_TZ.TZ10._STA] has gone, so looks like it is the F7 BIOS which has changed something
Consequently, I'm going to keep recommending the F6 BIOS for the time being...

Still no luck. My screen goes to the Samsung no HDMI input. I'm assuming that's Black screen. Boots just fine with the original config.plist. But I cant change display settings to anything but 1920/1080 . I did inject Intel with no luck, and it does show in Hackintool Kaby Lake HDMI is my audio. But it dosent show that anywhere but there. Also, shows in Hackintool 2053mb for the UHD 630 graphics but dosent show that anywhere else except in the Clover option menu at boot.

What is the model number of the Samsung monitor?

Hi @CaseySJ, I upgraded to F7 without issue. Nothing changed and my system is running great. I wonder what happened to @kwalter ?
Are you seeing any reduction in GeekBench scores or any other benchmarks? We suspect that F7 includes fixes for some microcode exploits, but the fixes can (in theory) impair performance.

That's a flatscreen TV. Please try all of the HDMI ports on the TV one by one. Does this TV have a low-latency HDMI port specifically for Gaming? That's the port to try first.

But better yet, temporarily connect your computer to a computer monitor capable of HDMI 1.4 or HDMI 2.0, if available.

See the following in the Samsung Owner's Manual:

The problem with many TVs is that the Mac may or may not apply a supported resolution or a supported frequency. We might have to manually change the resolution from System Preferences --> Displays.

Interesting. I don't have a monitor but changing to gaming mode and turning off something else increased the UHD 630 to 31mb and included 3840x2160. Still shows display as 61” even though its a 49”, but still its a start. This is also with the orignal config.plist.

The AORUS Z370 Gaming 5 may map its USB ports differently from the Designare Z390. While I think you will find similarities between them, we cannot assume that the USB SSDT from one motherboard will work on another. I expect that the changes will be minimal, but because the chipset (Z370) is different from the Designare (Z390), the USB XHC controller ID might also be different. Fortunately, the process of creating a new USB SSDT is much simpler now and I recommend this easy and fun guide:
As for the RX 580 SSDT, it should be removed at the first sign of a problem. When updating from Clover 4xxx to Clover 5xxx, we must manually copy all the drivers from drivers64UEFI to drivers/UEFI. I am also experiencing similar fan behavior -- fans spin up a little bit past 50C. Fortunately I have three 140mm intake fans and three 140mm exhaust fans to keep the air flowing nicely inside the case. That's one way of dealing with this somewhat aggressive fan curve on the AMD GPU. But as long as the fans spin up a little bit past 50C, then no worries.
Thank you! Will let you know if there is any improvement with the RX580. I have three 240mm and one 120mm exhaust fans and two Noctua NF-A4x20 fans blowing into the RX580 (see attachment). I have the AIO cooler mounted on the front of the case blowing through the radiator into the case. Maybe the cooler should be mounted on the top blowing out? I originally had it mounted on top but found that front mounting created cooler CPU temps.
