The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

I really think it should be added to the guide again.
It was only due to a comment I read on another thread that I even throught of trying to disable it.

Anyway, thanks for all your help Leesureone

Thank you for bringing the solution to the thread, I updated the guide to include it. I suspect it also borked the BrcmXXX.kexts from properly working as they are assigned a USB port. Hopefully this clears everything up.

Hey @ModMike, just a quick heads up. In my attempt to keep my system up-to-date, I swapped in your current EFI folder and found that my Bluetooth devices would no longer connect. Bluetooth was enabled, but it couldn't find anything. I compared the newest EFI to the backup of my previously working EFI and noticed that your current EFI had BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext, whilst my backup had BrcmFirmwareData.kext. I swapped back in BrcmFirmwareData.kext and Bluetooth worked again. This might be something to note!

I agree! Hoping it solvers Kelmers issue as well, he was not having a good time being stuck in the endless loop.:banghead:
I wish! I performed a CMOS reset, then followed the appended guide with Legacy Disabled, and created a fresh EFI on a second key. When I boot from the new key, I see the same issue as ipguy. Win10 installs flawlessly with the same settings and drive.

update: I could never get DP functionality at POST or @ the OS level, unless I added a dGPU. RMA'd the board back to newegg just now, hoping that the board is the culprit.

@ipguy, @kelmers still has the install glitch. Below is a list of his bios settings, can you confirm these are how you are set up? My only suggestion to @kelmers would be try enabling CSM. If that doesn't work maybe try changing PEG Auto to CPU Graphics? VMX is kind of optional, either way on or off should work beyond that? Any feedback would be appreciated. @ModMike any ideas here? thanks all!
  • somehow, XMP was Disabled (re-enabling now)
  • VMX Enabled
  • PEG Auto(i9 9900k IGP only)
  • IGPU Multi Monitor Disabled
  • RC6 off
  • Above 4G Enabled
  • DVMT 128M
  • XHCI Hand-off Enabled
  • Boot order set to Unibeast install key with IGPU EFI folder
  • Secure Boot Disabled, keys deleted, key state unloaded, OS type Other OS
  • Legacy USB Enabled
  • CSM Disabled
  • Network Stack Disabled
  • Intel Lan Controller Enabled
  • Intel Platform Trust Technology Disabled
  • SATA Enabled
  • SATA Mode Selection AHCI
  • Aggressive LPM Disabled
  • All SATA ports Enabled
  • IOAPIC 24-119 Entries Enabled
  • VT-d Disabled

I would disable Legacy USB in the BIOS. Everything else looks OK.

I had another issue, probably a hardware cabling issue from the case USB port to motherboard header.
When attempting to install Mojave from the front panel USB connector, the installation would fail on regular intervals.
Once I moved the USB thumb drive to the USB port on the motherboard and disabled Legacy USB support, the installer worked first time!

Hi Mike, thanks for the guide. Can I follow the same steps if using ROG STRIX B360-I GAMING as motherboard instead?

Best thing to do it try, I would think it would work...
