[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Two points:
  • If you have an older version of Clover, it may be a good idea to update to latest version.
  • I also recommend Step 7 of this guide to installing 3rd party kexts.

Thank you, that problem's solved now! I just can't update from 10.14.3 to 10.14.4. It tells me that the computer needs to reboot and then I see an installation bar which is filled up to 10% before turning the screen black. Is this update not meant for Nvidia GPUs? Do you Radeon guys have any problems with this specific update? I did many updates directly via the mac os x updater and never encountered such a problem before...

Does anyone know if Corsair MP510 NVMe SSD will work natively with macOS in this build? If not i’m looking for a cheaper option than Samsung EVO range.

Update - After resseting Bios to the settings suggested in this guide I'm now getting "Error Alolocating () Pages at () alloc type 2" *See 4th photo
Try removing AptioMemoryFix-64.efi from /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI and use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi instead, adding slide=0 to your boot args.

You can find more details in the first post.

SAMSUNG 32GB BAR Plus flash drive on sale at Newegg

These are recommended specifically for the install of Mojave on your Z390 Designare system.
This sale is scheduled to last for six days from today, April 3rd.

If you need even more storage than 32GB the 64GB version is selling for about $17 after promo code. Make sure to create a 16GB partition for your Unibeast install if you opt for the larger size. Great deal on these durable, fast drives.

How do I access the /EFI/CLOVER/ folder on my internal NVMe drive if I cant boot into MacOS anymore? (Sorry for the newbie question, this is my first Hackintosh)

Try making the change to your install USB and boot from that. Clover should let you select your internal drive to boot from. Then you can make your changes.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Awesome!! :)

I noticed that sometimes (not always) after a longer period of sleep when I wake the system up I get a black screen only. The machine looks like it reacts correctly to my wake-up keypress, but the screen stays black and the system doesn’t come back.

darkwave is set to 8.
SMBIOS: iMacPro1,1
No headless iGPU configuration
iGPU disabled in BIOS
Vega 64
Have you tried darkwake=0 per the guide? Does it lead to problems with iMacPro1,1 and/or Vega 64? I have omitted darkwake altogether in my configuration. I don't mind pressing two keys to wake the system -- my goodness, there are FAR FAR worse problems in this world than having to press 2 keys for wakeup! I seem to get better overall wake-from-sleep repeatability this way, but I have not conducted scientifically rigorous tests to assert this as a fact.
