macOS 10.14.4 Update

Hi,

Does anybody know why an update of Clover to version 4862 or 4895 seems necessary for an update to Mojave 10.14.4 ?

Kind regards,

Michiel

macOS wasn't able to complete the upgrade without updating Clover first. Clover is a bootloader so macOS can be booted properly so that's why its recommended to update to latest Clover before doing macOS update/uprgrade.

I never get this, please help. How do you update clover, if you can't get back into OS?

I also tried to get back in with my USB but still hang on what I assumed is the same ACPICPU timeouts...
I was able to just pick the boot osx mojave in clover instead of the install preboot to get back to 10.14.3. worst case you could boot with installer and manually update the EFI via terminal? might need some playing to get the correct efi files though. not sure.

Thnx,

Do you know which part of clover is causing this mandatory update ?

Kind regards

My update to 10.14.4 was without problems. Everything seems to be working normally.

I was already using Clover 4862, but updated to Lilu 1.3.5, AppleALC 1.3.6, and WhateverGreen 1.2.7. All my kexts are in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other.

I downloaded and used the Combo Updater for 10.14.4 as I also used it to update my Macs.

Problem here! Updating from 10.14.3, conectorless id (igpu+vega) didn't work. I was getting kernel panics halfway on Apple logo, so disabled iGPU and things worked.

No idea but best to install updated kexts as well. I suspect the outdated kexts in EFI partition was the source of the problem not completing the update process.

Updated from 10.14.3. Had to update Clover to the latest version
395220

All good

I am running 14.4 now, no major glitches. My audio is working over HDMI but not with on board audio out so no headphones. I have the latest AppleALC.

Other annoying issue, it did not remove the install macOS so every time i start up it tries to update again. Anyone know how to delete it?
