[Guide] Razer Blade 15 (2018) Detailed Install Guide High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G2208-17G5019)

I've finally got my Razer Blade 15 144hz 2018 and used this guide. Everything went well except couple of things.
1) I kept getting compile errors while doing patching and discovered that that was because of I copied the original files using Finder, then I've tried using cp command and everything went well with patching & compiling.
2) Track-pad support is not the best I can say, it's better handled in Linux and even better in Windows(gosh it's just gorgeous there). But the real problem is when the laptop is on battery power the track-pad is crazy - it's jumping around and precision is awful, can't use it, really. I've tried to delete Voodoo kexts, cleaned k-cache, did ACPI patching again with fresh-generated originals from Clover boot menu and then installing the kexts again, but it just didn't help at all. What might be the cause?
3) Sometimes the OS won't load at all, there is no 'apple-logo-blip' and it keeps loading forever.

The trackpad issue is hit or miss. It's a conflict between the ACPIBatteryManager kext and the FakeSMC kext. If you have the issue do the following: Replace ACPIBatteryManager kext with SMCBatteryManager kext and the FakeSMC kext with VirtualSMC kext.

As far as the last issue, that's the nature of the beast. You'll get that every once in a while. There's no known fix for now, but in all honesty it's not that big of a deal to me and I just haven't put any into figuring it out.
It could be something as simple as updating a kext.

It isn't KPing, as I can still wake from sleep and start doing things normally. It doesn't happen enough that I have spent the time to look into it. Next time it happens I will take a look at Activity Monitor and see what is spiking the CPU.
This still goes back to something being missed or modified that's causing your issue. I haven't shut my laptop down in 3 weeks now. Goes to sleep every single time I shut the lid.

Can’t boot after these changes at all. No apple-logo-blip like before but now every time :(

You removed FakeSMC.kext and ACPIBatteryMamager.kext before installing the new kexts and rebuilt kext cache after installing the new kexts, correct?

If so, boot off of your flash drive, mount the EFI drive and delete your patched DSDT file, reboot. If it boots, reboot again, dump a fresh DSDT in clover, patch the new DSDT and add it back into your patched folder reboot and you should be good to go.

Yes, that is what I did, in fact first what came to mind that the battery patch is not compatible with new kext. So I booted from flash drive, like you say, did a fresh patch, but with touchpad only(I’ve omitted the batteryone now) and the result is still the same - it doesn’t boot :(

The patch is compatible with the kexts. It's just that sometimes the DSDT gets corrupted and needs to be repatched with a fresh copy.
Double check that you're using the latest versions of both kexts.
If you are, then remove the SMCBatteryManager Kext and try booting without that.

You used kextbeast to install them correct?

Okay I'll try to remove the SMCBatteryManager kext and try to boot.

No, I used terminal for install, prefer not to use any GUI applications for that kind of stuff... especially closed-source.

About DSDT corruption - what is that thing? Where I can learn more about that?

UPDATE: while doing so I've found that VirtualSMC kext was not in /L/E for some reason(obvious, I'm not too careful and missed to put it there). So I've deleted all the (related to hackintosh) kexts from /L/E, rebuilt kextchache, put them back(VirtualSMC & battery instead of Fake + acpibatman), rebuilt the cache, rebooted and boohoo, everything looks to be good. Touchpad not jumping around even on battery.
I'm very thankful for your help Mr.vettz500!

I've just did the iMessage/FT activation. Could you please mention in the guide that Broadcom card needed for that to work because of En0/Builtin or spoof needed? I think that would be cool.

UPDATE: please also add that even in case of successful activation via Broadcom card, if it is then removed and dongle is being used iMessage/FT will eventually deactivate :(

Hey all using the 2019 razer blade, I have the Razer Blade Adv 2019 with RTX 2060, my trackpad seems to work perfectly fine
