Greetings everyone!
Looking for some assistance...
Recently, occasionally, updated to mojave<through App Store. 10.14.2 (18C54). Before was highsierra
I was on gigabyte gtx960 4gb, high sierra was pretty smooth. Some glitches in Davinci Resolve from time to time when GPURam was overloaded. And panics which were sending me to login screen.
Now, Switched to RX480 8GB sapphire nitro+
First boot was almost perfect, running from the box. But , crazy coil whine. Ok, checked on WIN with Vsync - acceptable. On MAC - davinci makes that card CRAZY loud. Tried different tests - different sounds, the entire variety - i could record an album of experimental music. It's ok? Screenshots will be below.
Im sure i have mess in my set-up, because my FCPX goes wild in a good way< but im not sure that davinci Resolve goes at least at the same level as my previous GTX960. Especially with RED RAW , even in FCPX its pretty slow.AE even not starting.(upd-after lilu it works.) Its why im asking to check my setup < if there everything goes as it should be?
BruceX bench - 19secs
upd:after lilu 141009, after adding iGPU 141723
Next thing - same common trouble with JPG Preview. {solved}
And the sound, always after every other reboot- all sound devices becoming HDMI (a lots of outputs).And on 24bits its crackling when it's working. 16is ok. Even after switching layout to 1/
UPD: fixed hdmi outputs and jpg with lilu.Removed vodoohda from L/E - no sound at all now, working on. |
upd2:after some actions, HDMI display again in sound outs....alone.
and totally no luck(understanding() with Hackintool.
Sorry if im in a wrong thread > or asking too much.And for a grammar.
Peace!
idk why 300mhz
it was going up and down, and when im rendering in mac os - feels like its also goes like on and off, like jumping.
@abhinasia
I don't know much about your system spec, but I have learned recently that when running Mojave it is recommended to configure your IGPU as headless. This guide has helped me a lot: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/an-idiots-guide-to-lilu-and-its-plug-ins.260063/#Headless
Since you have already installed lilu+whatevergreen, concentrate on the "Headless PlatformID's" and the "WEG configuration Continued" parts.
I just bought an "ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 570 O4G Gaming OC Edition GDDR5 DP HDMI DVI VR Ready AMD Graphics Card (ROG-STRIX-RX570-O4G-GAMING)" card, hoping to use the two DVI-D ports with some Dell monitors at 2560 x 1440.
And also hoping to use either the HDMI or display port as a 3rd monitor at the highest resolution possible on my 2560 x 1440 Dell 3rd monitor.
I'm totally new to dealing with ATI issues on my Hackintosh. As I've got a working configuration, I was hoping to take my config files and extensions, modify them for ATI, and install Mojave from scratch.
Any tips for an ATI newbie to help him down this path? I'll be documenting my steps on the thread for my motherboard and hardware (at the very top of this post) to help any others with the same hardware that might follow down this path.
