Thanks to the generous help of @jaymonkey and @pastrychef, I recently was able to successfully get my Z270 system (Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero with i7-7700k) running with both a Vega 64 GPU and the iGPU-Intel HD630 (headless) running together (like a real Mac)! See thread here:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...n-vega-64-nitro-in-macos-mojave-10-14.262778/

Then, I tried to add in Thunderbolt 3 support and things started not going well. Here is what I did:
1. I added the Gigabyte GC-Alpine Ridge Thunderbolt 3 card, enabled it in the BIOS, and tried to boot.
2. The boot hung up, very quickly, right after the Clover boot selection, and looks similar to an AptioMemoryFix error. I am currently using AptioMemoryFix-64.efi, as my system has never booted up under any other Aptio Fix UEFI-64 driver. I experimented with some of the other Aptio fix drivers, but it continues to have the same boot hang.

Does anyone know how to resolve this boot hang?

By the way, if I disable the iGPU, the system will boot, but then I get a lot of screen freezes when the AMD Vega 64 is working alone without the iGPU (just like my original problem from this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...n-vega-64-nitro-in-macos-mojave-10-14.262778/)

Thanks!!

SUCCESS!! I solved this by going into the Boot Menu of my BIOS and enabling "Above 4G Processing". It boots and runs like a charm now!

Interesting, isn't that option for if you have more than one dedicated GPU? Do you?

No, just one Vega 64 and the iGPU. But the TB3 card was a PCIe card, and enabling “Above 4G Processing” was the setting that allowed me to boot.

This just worked for me! Thanks so much! I was having an issue where I couldn't boot into OSX when igpu enabled. Was getting to "Start ReadkernelCache" in verbose then that was it. Now if I enable igpu and above 4g processing (called something slightly different in my MSI bios) it works! YESSSSSSS.

I think it is actually called “Above 4G Decoding” in my BIOS. My bad....did you also have a TB3 card and a dedicated GPU installed?

It’s always a good day when you get a Hackintosh working!!

Yeah mine is listed as same, Above 4G Decoding. I did have a PCI TB card and a PCI FireWire 800 card. However I swapped out my 1070TI for a RX580. The new GPU is thicker so as I don't currently use any TB devices just left the FireWire PCI for my soundcard. As couldn't fit in both but don't need them at same time it's more as a future upgrade.

Hoping someone on this thread can help! My system will hang on "Start Readkernelcache" if I have iGPU enabled. For some reason Enabling "Above 4G Decoding" does not fix my boot issue. If I disable IGPU and leave "Above 4G Decoding" enabled in BIOS then my system boots fine. However, in Mojave, I've been told that I need IGPU enabled for Quicklook and Preview to work with JPEG files. It is a minor annoyance but I was wondering if anyone in this thread had any suggestions since this is the only thing not working on my Hackintosh!

My system is as follows:

Mojave 10.14.2
Intel i9-9900K
Gigabyte Z390 Designare MOBO
Sapphire RX 580 Pulse
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4-3200 RAM
Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB M.2 SSD (Main OS Drive)
Samsung 860 EVO 2 TB M.2 SSD

Thanks!
