Rx580 connected hdmi out - the message and screen lost signal ... 8 pins disconnected hdmi gpu out same message and screen lost signal.. i used mojave 14.1.0 with unibeast
Your first post indicates you are still in the process of installing Mojave. When you start the computer, do you press F12 and choose the USB disk? Then select:
  • Stage 1 Installation: "Boot Install macOS Mojave from Install macOS Mojave"
  • Stage 2 Installation: "Boot Install macOS Mojave from Mojave"
I would suggest 2 things:
  1. Search this forum for "gIOScreenLockState". If no helpful solution, then try #2 below.
  2. Start again from Stage 1. Follow METHOD 1 of my Build Guide. But the guide is for Designare board so be careful if you have a different board!

Okay, because you have the same motherboard, I should be able to help.
  1. The problem might be in the EFI folder on your USB disk. Please zip and upload that folder.
  2. You said you could not find a setting for XMP Profile 1. When you enter BIOS Setup, choose the "Classic" mode (not Simple mode) and the top left item will be: M.I.T. Inside this page, the 2nd item will change Memory settings. You can select XMP Profile 1.
Also please have a look at the Build Guide.

It looks like a problem with the kernel cache. Let's try this first:

  • Boot to Clover, but choose the Recovery volume.
  • When Recovery starts, choose Terminal from Tools menu and type:
Code:
cd /
kextcache -i /Volumes/Mojave
  • This will rebuild the kernel cache. When complete, quit Terminal and Reboot from the Apple menu.
  • Then try booting your Mojave volume and see if the problem persists.
I tried rebuilding the kernel cache then re-enabling internal graphics. Computer still hangs but the last line now says "Start UncompressKernelCache" instead of "Start ReadKernelCache". Strange.

Awesome and congratulations!

What kind of HDMI cable gave you the problem? Do you have an Amazon link for the (bad) cable? I will mention this in the build guide so other people can avoid this problem.
