[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hello,
on my NUC5i7RYH system exits abnormally from S1/S2/S3 sleep. More specifically even if the power led turns blue (so system wakes) display doesn't show anything (black screen), usb ports are dead (ie: keyboard unresponsive) and networking never starts (icmp/tcp connections to the host going in timeout).

Report files attached, thanks

RehabMan, I've opened a pull request on your GitHub repo with a fix for USB-C hotplugging on Bean Canyon. https://github.com/RehabMan/Intel-NUC-DSDT-Patch/pull/5 . As I don't have any other NUCs, I don't know the RPxx device for the other NUCs, but you can literally just replace RP05 with the right devices.

I'll look at it and try to test it a bit when I'm back near my NUC(s).
Thanks, also a few things I've noticed. Bluetooth seems to partially work if you reboot from Mac into Ubuntu (I guess the chip doesn't power cycle so it doesn't lose the correct firmware state). Same with the aux port, but that only works once. As soon as I remove my headphones and re-insert, I have distorted audio again. IDK if you've come across that distorted audio issue or not; obviously Bluetooth is because its an Intel chip (I'm working on a kext that'll flash firmware to Intel bluetooth chips)

Thanks for such an awesome guide RehabMan!

Built a nice little file/plex/torrent server with this thing. More power than my 2009 Mac Pro 4,1!

As expected with unsupported Intel BT.

You should look into ALCPlugFix.

Understand the soldered on Intel Wifi/BT doesn't work on the NUC 8th gens. However, if you opt for the 2.5" SSD in the H model intel NUCs, can you pop in an NGFF adapter and BCM94360CS2? Has anyone tried this yet on the 8th gen NUC?

I'm new to the Hackintosh community, this is my first post. Thank you all and especially RehabMan for the instructions and help.

I followed the instructions for my NUC 7i5BNK, everything went well as described, I'm impressed. My Hackintosh starts now and then in a "loop". When the loading bar shows it loads a bit and then jumps back to the Intel screen, this about 3 to 4 times. Then it boots "normally". After I log in I get the message that the Hackintosh wasn't properly booted. It happens once in a while.

Greetings
schlotterp

Does anyone else have ethernet drop out / speed issues using the built in NIC?
