It's install on a hardrive not a SSD .Is there any other options to solving this .and I've done two complete reinstallations with the same result a blinking cursor on boot up .
Blinking cursor means that your UEFI/BIOS can't find partition to boot from. I've faced same problem as you and makisf4 with MultiBeast not making HDD partition bootable somehow, just copying EFI contents didn't help either. So solution was to download latest Clover from https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ and installing it (in my case it was correctly checking legacy boot options by itself). After that HDD partition finally became bootable and was working correctly since that.

First off thank you guys. I did replace the config list and that didn't resolve my problem. Installing clover and installing directly made my drive finally boot. Thank you so much

Ok I got the is booting from HDD but for some reason can't get it to reconirec my 710 GT card and I unchecked inject Intel in clover config and yet still problem persist.

Some have said they need to inject Nvidia for their 710 to work properly. You could try that.
Some have used the High Sierra version of the Nvidia web drivers when running High Sierra.
No drivers yet available for Mojave.

You'll have to experiment to figure it out.

What about updating my HP 8200 to Mojave ?
I'm sure a lot of HP 8200 owners are considering this so here's some of what you need to know.
  1. The iMac 12,2 System Def. (2011 iMac) will not work with Mojave. Apple dropped support for iMacs older than 2012.
  2. Most Nvidia graphics cards will not work with Mojave until they release the Web drivers for Mojave.
  3. HD3000 graphics have lost support in Mojave.
So what should I do then ?

If High Sierra is doing what you need it to do and working well, don't be in a rush to upgrade to Mojave. The fact that Multibeast for Mojave is not out yet means you'll have to manually install a newer version of Clover for the upgrade to work at all. If you wait for Multibeast 11 and the Nvidia web drivers everything will go much more smoothly for you. I'd guess that both of those will be here sometime in early November. As I can't predict the future very well, it may take longer than that so be patient. If you do have to change to a newer SysDef then use either iMac 13,2 or 14,2. Will probably be best to create a new matching serial number within the generate tool in Clover Configurator. Simply follow the iDiot's guide to iMessage that you've applied previously if you will be going to Mojave. You can also record your serials from the HS install and reuse those again if you already have successfully gotten iMessage, facetime and the app store working with your previous serial numbers.

Clover installation defaults to "nv_disable=1" (at least it was for me), you should uncheck that in Clover Configurator or in config.plist directly. Also make sure that you have correct SysDef set.

Did you try copying the config.plist from the USB drive to the hard drive's EFI/Clover folder yet ?
Hi, i am on the same boat. where and how could i find the config.blist file from usb? EFI-backups in usb seems empty. thanks

You have to mount the EFI partition first. You can use EFI mounter vers. 3 from downloads.

Hello Guys,
Great installation guide thank you.
ran through the instructions to the letter, after the first reboot on the install I do not get an option for HFS boot only External.
What am I doing wrong?
