Do you plan on updating this build to Mojave? I'm tempted but I don't want to mess around too much haha. Relatively new to the whole Hackintosh thing still.
I have it on a test disk. I won't upgrade my production system (disk) until 10.14.3 as has been my procedure since 10.1.3. I want to wait until Apple gets all the major bugs out of Mojave before I upgrade.

Sounds like a good idea actually. Thanks for this guide, made getting me setup extremely easy.

Hey @Stork .. hope you are doin great! I never get tired of saying that your tutorials are the best!

Not sure if you can help me today... two days ago my build freezed and now my bios doesn't detect the SSD .. i'm not using the same as yours, mine is a crucial mx300 m.2 ... I set my windows hhd as the primary drive and I can boot, windows sees the crucial drive as unknow, also says something like "disk not initialized"

time for a new ssd?

thank you in advance!

Boot from you UniBeast USB thumb drive and start the install. When you get to the Menu for the different Options, choose Disk Utility and run First Aid. Then, if all goes well, see if you can boot from the MX300.

Thanks for your reply! I just tried it and the disk utility shows all my other disk, but doesn’t detect the MX300

What else could we try?

Disk Utility has a View optional menu in the upper left corner of the Disk Utility window (not the top of the screen menu bar). Choose View All.

Curiously, I have never been able to boot from the USB when connected through my gtx1070’s DisplayPort and today I was able to reach the installation screen when connected to that. I’m on a 4K asus PB287Q ... last time, i had to boot using the Hero VIII motherboard’s hdmi port. Would you advice to continue a new installation from here or attach a hdmi cable to the MB and start it all over, without the 1070 plugged in.

I guessing my MX300 is dead!
