All in it cost me $25 plus a 240GB SSD I already had laying around.

Think you are top of list for the title of Chief Cheap Mac Master - see earlier posts re How Low Can You Go?

If you have made an SSDT, might I ask that you run Intel Power Gadget and report back whether it is showing normal looking speedstep activity.

confirmed!
Is that a confirmation that it should work? I used this because the SSDT method was causing the CPU to run at a solid 800Mhz on Mojave whilst it worked fine on HS. Do you know the differences between using a SSDT and using these patches or Which is better?

Yes, it works. PluginType=true + kernelxcpm=true.
No need for the other plugintype=1 as it is 1 by default.

ssdtprgen and clover's plugintype are basically the same in some way.

Well, lets just put it this way, Slice tried it on his ivy and rehab did not :D

afaik, leave it blank and the value (0/1) will be injected according to your cpu.

I just wanted to say thank you. I bought a Dell Optiplex 9010 from my works surplus sale. It is a SFF and I upgraded it to 16gb of ram. I am using the HD 4000 graphics. I followed your guide to get High Sierra working and then upgraded directly to Mojave. I am on it right now replying. I took your advice and replaced the CMOS battery as well. All in it cost me $25 plus a 240GB SSD I already had laying around.

That is an "Insanely Great" deal as SJ used to say. A late 2012 iMac equivalent for 25 USD with your choice of monitor, when refurb i7-3770 iMacs still cost 1,100 USD. If the monitor fails on a refurb iMac you are out of luck or will pay a kings ransom for the repairs.

I've been working off and on for the past month following this guide setting up my 7010 with High Sierra. First, the guide is excellent and has been incredibly easy to follow, and I thank you for your hard work making it.

I'm able to get everything installed, sleep works, all of the USB ports work, audio works, and the desktop uses the full resolution of my monitor, using the Intel HD 4000 graphics from the processor. However, I can only get full graphics acceleration to work some of the time after getting everything set up.

It seems pretty hit and miss, but more often than not, when starting up, I'll get flickering at the login screen, no transparency in the menu bar or dock, and tearing when moving windows around. My desktop does display at the full resolution, and the system appears to be recognizing that it's using HD 4000 graphics correctly (saying it has ~1.5GB of VRAM available.)

I feel like I've followed the guide to the letter, and I've even gone so far as to wipe the drive and start all over, only to have the issue persist - so I'm not sure if it's something I'm missing? I've tried looking for any possible lead, and I've come up short.

Let me know what information/files/logs that I'll need to provide.
