pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Where would I find the apfs.efi? Clover was just updated to r4669 8 hours ago, that one should be compatible with the latest beta.

/usr/standalone/i386/

I tried it, it did not cause the drives to show up. When you find time, can you create an updated EFI with the newest clover release? I think that one might work with the latest beta since it was updated just 8 hours ago.

I'm already on r4658 which is what's available from SourceForge.

Oh, you're right. I was looking at the latest activity, where it said that r4669 was committed 8 hours ago. I thought that meant that it was available for download. Anything I can do in the meantime? Maybe someway to downgrade the beta or something without deleting my files?

Hi guys, I noticed that the attaching pigtail antennas are connected differently in the 2 photos, which is the correct way?
Thanks
Not the greatest photo, but mine was like this before I swapped out the card.

Just copy over your Serial, Board Serial, and UUID.
With r4.4 my screen flickers and has artifacts all over the screen. Not sure what to do besides using the EFI folder from post 2485. I tried using r4.3 just to see if it helped but my computer just goes into a boot loop.

What version of macOS are you on? Which monitor connection are you using?

Also, please fill out your profile as per the rules. It will make it much easier for others to help you.

Please try setting your SMBIOS to iMac18,1 to see if it fixes your flickering. Also, try going to config.plist>Boot>Custom Flags and add "-igfxnohdmi" (without the quotes).

I’m using a DisplayPort cable. I switched the SMBIOS to iMac18,1 but didn’t change anything.
I’ll add the boot flag and try it out.

I updated my profile, thanks I totally forgot about it. Been a while since I was at this forum.

Hi, I tried the "-igfxnohdmi” boot flag and iMac18,1 and nothing changed. Not sure what else to do... I downloaded the r4.4 EFI, edit the config only to change the SMBIOS and added the boot flag and rebooted several times.

I have an update on my Vega 64 upgrade. I purchased a used reference Sapphire Vega 64 (non nitro) from ebay for ~$410 and did some tests with it.

The fan speed issues were present at first, but the kext seemed to work pretty well as a fix. Sadly the fan speed does not scale with the increased heat, it only kicks in after it hits a certain degree threshold.

High Sierra instantly recognized the card as a Vega 64 which is great, and I haven't had any crashes yet + multi-monitor works.

However, I was surprised that samtimbaud was correct about the 'coil whine' sound. It is present on my card as well. It's not incredibly loud, but it is definitely noticeable. I have dual boot with Windows 10 on my system, so I tested it on there too. The coil whine sound is ONLY present in Windows under full load (gaming, rendering), but otherwise it is silent. The problem is in High Sierra the sound plays just by moving your mouse or scrolling (pretty much constantly) even when doing basic tasks or idling. It's not a huge deal breaker, just something to take note of. I can hear the noise through my case which has sound dampening material and no window.
