[SUCCESS] i7-5820k / GTX 970 / GA-X99-UD4 High Sierra 10.13 [Clover Guide] (100% Working)

I managed to somehow fix it.

1. I changed my SMBIOS to Mac Pro 6,1, but i don't think it really helped as it didn't make USB 3.0 work after the reboot.
2. I then used MultiBeast and overwrote all of the drivers as in this guide (1st post), i made sure EVERY SINGLE parameter as in this guide, I also noticed that after i used MultiBeast to overwrite that there were two instances of "change 15 port limit..." so i deleted one.
3. I also made sure just that the contents of drivers64UEFI is the same as in this guide.
The only difference in Kexts/Other is that i don't have VooDooHDA.kext (even though i checked it to install in MultiBeast). Audio works just fine for me without that file (only through the front/headphones jack).
4. I copied everything (plist.config, Kexts/Other and drivers64UEFI contents over to Clover USB Boot and rebooted. And it WORKED!

Thank you for this awesome guide malki!

great! Glad it works! Thanks!

Everything has been updated as of 8/20/2018. This should be the final update for this guide. Thanks everybody

Hi Malki! Thanks for you guide; great work and a big help for many people I guess! I followed your guide closely, to install 10.13.6 on my x99 haswell system, but for some reason it just stops working after a few successful boots after installing High Sierra and making all necessary settings through multibeast. Tried many clean installs by now and I've been busy figuring out what causes this strange and sort of random behaviour, but to no avail. I was running Yosemite and El Capitan without any issues over the past few years, but High Sierra is a tough one apparently. I started a topic already, maybe you or someone else can take a look an help me out? I included my EFI folder and a video of the verbose results in there: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...t-booted-initially.258314/page-2#post-1796100

Thanks a lot :)

Sorry about that!

Ok well I have recently updated my guide last week. You may want to reinstall 1 more time (I know this is annoying) and follow my guide to the T.

If that doesn't work heres a few things you can try:

1. In clover configurator in the "Kernel and Kext Patches" section check the boxes for "Kernal CPU" "Kernel LAPIC" and "KernelXCPM" also can select "HaswellE" from dropdown menu above FakeCPUID (this might help if the problem is your processor)

2. Also you can delete the 2nd 10.13.6 usb patch by PM Heart. If you install usb from newest multibeast it is no longer required.

(both solutions are in the attached picture below)

If that still doesn't work, then try changing SMBIOS to a Mac Pro, then follow my guide by adding "Lilu.Kext" and "WhateverGreen.Kext" (so it doesn't boot to black screen)

Everything else looks fine. Make sure you copy my Multibeast install to the T as well. I was having similar boot problems when i reinstalled recently, i had to follow this guide (my own guide at that) to the T or it wouldn't boot sometimes. I had tried to upgrade to 6950x (and succeeded) but it wasn't giving me an increase in performance like I thought it would, so I rolled back to 5820k. This is why I updated the guide last week and made sure I was 100% accurate on every step / driver / kext needed. So please make sure you install according to the guide update as of last week. I have changed a few things in there.

Other ideas, try installing "AptioMemoryFix" or "OsxLowMemFixDrv-64" or "PartitionDxe-64" from "Install Drivers" section of clover configurator. Or try OsxAptioFix3Drv-64 instead of the OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi we have been using. It is probably something simple tbh. Also make sure you are installing "UEFI" drivers 64 bit and not just 64 bit drivers.

It should not be hard to get this system to work. If your trying to read an install guide other than mine and its so complicated you can't even figure out how to do it, then that isn't the way. I know from experience trying to get the 6950x to boot in this system, I could not figure out how to get it to work from reading other guides, they had all these complicated patches and stuff! Super long explanations, and it still wouldn't boot! I got it to boot just using my guide and just clicking random stuff if the clover settings screen! lol. This is part of the reason I updated my guide last week, to make sure its as simple as possible and as precise as I can tell you. A lot of other guides are over complicated tbh! I am glad you used mine. I use Tonymacx86 because of the easy install method, so why should our system be any different! Hopefully you will get it running soon.

You sir are a LEGEND. Took me just about a couple of hours to build a i7 5930K GA x99 ud4. The Nvdia part took me longer than I expected (the linked reference didn't work for me), but its doable with a gtx 980ti.

10/10 awesome guide!
