Malki - Great, GUIDE, went from 0 to X99 Sabretooth, 5820k, SM951 250GB SSD, 970GTX G1 Gaming.

Just missing some thunderbolt ports now.

As an update to your guide, I notice that in your attached photos section, you're Kexts folder is still from Dec2017 would you mind updating that with the current state of play in your machine?

I'm having a similar issue with the USB3 controllers showing up as USB2.0 and I'm a little lost on which kexts I should be using - I have read all 14 pages of this thread thoroughly.

Long Term PC and Mac user.

Thats funny you cant see i updated the photos. Because looking over my post shows my updated kext folder.

In my clover kext folder i have:
FakeSMC
Lilu (for mac pro definiton)
VoodooHDA (for audio)
Whatever Green (also for mac pro definition)
X99_Injector (attached on bottom of main post)

Not much has changed overall. The only diff to get usb 3.0 working on 10.13.6 is to add a new patch in clover which i put into the usb section of the guide. Otherwise its exactly the same. Im not even sure if you need that patch, but I added it anyway (pulled from another source, seems to not harm anything, even if it does nothing).

All my other kexts install via multibeast into Library/Extensions folder. I actually think i used an older multibeast - 10.2. Not multibeast 10.3. The new one may have changed some of the usb stuff, not sure. But its working 100% here, usb transfer at 3.0 speeds and detects properly I can verify this in 10.13.6. Im pretty happy with it.

Just saw the dates on the files in finder, Jan18 and the picture says it was uploaded Dec17, *facepalm*

I just wanted to start from scratch *headache* so I've deleted all my USB related Kexts and disabled the KextsToPatch by PMHeart. Rebooted. Now I got this...

Uploaded pictures of EFI,Kexts folder and Lib,Extensions folder for reference... Let me know if you see anything that's magically enabling it.

everything looks running as it should. congrats.

for the record. The screenshot of my kext folder is there and working as should when i log in. This is a screen capture of what I see on the post. So this may be a site related issue if you are seeing an older version.

I have a question. I would like to know "the steps" when upgrading from Maxwell to Pascal GPU.

Currently I'm rocking 10.13.4 with 980 Ti and soon I want to swap current gpu to 1080 Ti.
Is it a straight forward process like booting with "nv_disable=1" and upgrading to newest pascal drivers and "that's it" or are there some additional steps to follow. Please let me know and as always good job !

yeah boot with nv_disable=1 then install the nvidia web drivers and need to tick "use web drivers" in clover configurator. Then you can stop using Nv_disable=1.

I read and tried everything in this topic regarding USB 3 and i still can't get ir running.

It shows USB 3.0 Bus in System Report, but whatever i connect to USB 3 ports on my motherboard, it shows up under USB 2.0 Bus and not under USB 3.0 Bus. I try to connect Samsung T5 Portable SSD to USB 3.0 with no luck.

My Kexts/Other folder looks like this:

And Kernel and Kext Patches in config.plist looks like this:

I also tried to put FakePCIID_XHCIMux.Kext and FakePCIID.kext kexts into Kexts/Other and Kexts/10.13, i tried to use MultiBeast and install 7/8/9 Series USB Support and Increase Max Port Limit.

I always use Clover Boot USB to load Mac from the SSD as i didn't make it self bootable from SSD. And this configuration is from SSD EFI. Maybe i should make the Clover Boot USB EFI with same patches? Been using it like it since March.

My specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k
Motherboard: Gigabyte X99-UD4
GPU: nVidia GTX 960 (Asus Strix 4GB)
Memory: 32 GB
OS version: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Thank you for your help in advance!
