@pastrychef this is what verbose mode displays, it shuts down after this.

I've copied the USB key (AGAIN!) EFI to the SSD and now... Now the system is just dead. Not matter which drive I chose to boot from (I've had secondary non-nvme disk as a carbon copy cloner backup) it displays black background with white crossed circle. I've wasted whole day and the machine is in worst state than it was before...

None of that make sense. Either the EFI folder works or it doesn't. Unless it's getting corrupt between the copies, there's no reason why it would just stop working.

I don't know why you are getting that. You are using iMac18,3 and that's supported.

I think it was some typo in the plist you've sent me. I have replaced it with older version and I am back to a semi-broken situation: I can boot from USB key and I have bt/wifi working, but booting the same USB key EFI folder from SSD results in system crashing when it loads half of the progress bar.

@pastrychef this is what I'm able to capture when it crashes now

Are these all from the same boot??
One of them is complaining about video card. I don't know which video card you are using right now.
I think one of them is complaining about boot cache. I think you need to rebuild the kext cache.
Again, remember to check the main directory of your main system drive to make sure you don't have any Clover stuff there.

Hi, my system was taking up like 180gb out of my 250gb m.2 so I tried to do the spotlight reindex command but terminal wouldn’t work and it would display process completed. I rebooted the computer and then it wouldn’t boot and got stuck in a bootloop, even with the install disk. It is booting in safe mode, but I can’t login to my admin account. Any help?

I have no idea on how to fix this.

Maybe Disk Warrior.

Disk Warrior is a program for data recovery. The only problem with my computer right now is that it will only boot into safe mode. I'm currently trying to replace to the EFI on my install disk and boot from that.

I don't think the EFI partition has anything to do with the failed re-indexing.
